Heinz is voluntarily recalling about 500 cases of Pork Gravy that might contain milk and soy - which could be a problem for those allergic to those ingredients.
The company said that its HomeStyle Bistro Au Jus Gravy, which contains the ingredients that could even be fatal for those with severe allergies to them, may be mislabeled as the pork gravy.
So far, no one has reported becoming sick from the gravy.
The voluntary recall for consumers affects only the 12-ounce glass jars that are labeled best by Dec. 28, 2017 with a UPC code of 013000798907, reports the company on BusinessWire. Retailers will have a different code.
'Consumers who purchased this product should not eat it,' warns the company, which says the recall only affects jars in the US.
'We deeply regret this situation and apologize to any consumers we have disappointed,' it said.
Consumers should return the jars to whichever store they bought them for a full refund.
