Have the New Orleans Hornets Quit on Byron Scott?

I only caught about 12 minutes of the game but to lose at home by 58 points is a disgrace.

I know that Hornets owner George Shinn is trying to cut costs but it looks like it's only a matter of time before Chris Paul asks for a trade.

The Hornets haven't really been in the series as they've simply been overmatched but that is no excuse to quit competing. And I thought Detroit laid down. :smh:

But the question is, could this be the 2nd team with a hall of fame caliber PG to quit on Coach Scott?

Interesting topic..
My basketball knowledge is limited, but I do know that if Paul asks for a trade or is in anyway not in New Orleans it spells doom for this franchise

Don't know about all that (far as I'm concerned the NBA season is already over). What I do know that this is the second team with an all star calibre PG (it's WAAAAY too early to talk about CP being HOF) that has never done SHIT before that Scott has taken to the playoffs.

The Hornets tried to deal Tyson Chandler for two expiring contracts and the trade deadline but he failed the physical because of a toe problem and the Thunder rescinded the trade.

No telling what they'll do now but they have a lot of personnel issues (SG and SF) that they need to address.

Not a fan of the team's style of play but I hope that they get it together.

The regular season but c'mon man... 58 points? 27 TOs? The team wasn't even going through the motions. They were stinkin it up. Is Denver that much better than New Orleans? The team split the regular season series and the most the Hornets lost was by 13 but tonight they lost by more than 4 times that amount.

I'm not saying Coach Scott isn't a great coach but it's obvious the team is mailing the rest of the series in.

Did not see the game... saw the score and thought it was a misprint.... wtf...that is beyond embarrassing

:eek::smh::eek::smh::eek::smh::eek:

WOW!!!! Holy shit!!!

It's not about the team quitting on the coach. Those sorry bastids quit on life in order to lose by 58 WOW!!!

On the flip side, Denver has been playing great basketball (specifically Billups). Nene's finally giving a better effort.

CP3 was off this Game from the beginning, he caught a technical foul confronting Dauntey jones. Credit the nuggets too, They've had billups, jones,jr smith, carter on him and it is finally getting to him.. Hornets goes as far as CP3 can take them, and thats primarily cause the refused to resign Pargo. Should've Kept him instead of getting posey.. You can't watch them when CP3 is on the bench.. CP3 needs to ask for a Trade or he'll waste his Prime/Productive years on the Hornets. If he ever asks for a trade, Joe dumars better put up half of the team to get him :D

the problem is CP3 ran out of gas he play in the olympics this pass summer for the first time and then the regular season and now the playoffs( yea i know alot of other players played in the olympics too but CP3 is a point guard on a team that runs off his performance). then on top of that the team went thru some bad injuries, most of the starters together missed a total of about 50 games. anohter problem is this team has quit before like this in the playoff last season. i jus think they need to make some big changes in the offseason wit the starters and bench players.

if u look at game 3 he played the whole game. he didnt side down like he do at the end of quarters to rest thats why they won that game.

I've heard that George Shinn is one of the dumbest owners, but I seriously doubt he'll trade the only reason people goto the games.

I guessing that the hornets will fire byron scott, and go after avery johnson.

If that happens then you can pretty much expect cp3 to become an average point guard.

I say that because of avery's need to control every aspect of the game.

Hornets consists of Chris Paul and David West. If Chandler is healthy he is also a decent contributor. Posey is at best a better than decent 6th man. The rest are almost non existent. Wouldn't surprise me if they did quit. Not because of the coach, but because that's the way NBA players are brought (bought?) up today....to be quitters

Yes. The Hornets are a poorly constructed team and we agree, they have gapping holes at SG and SF.

I want to see how they bounce back from the 58 point demolition that they witnessed on Monday.

If they have any pride, they'll come out firing...

But chances are they get blown out again. :smh:
