You have to pay some taxes on giving your gift.
The giftee won't have to because you have already paid them.
However, I don't know how much.
However, I do know that you can only gift someone $12k/year. If you're married your spouse can give them $12K also.
Basically combined, you (and your spouse) can give a total $24k/ year to one person/year And if it's more than that you'll have to gift someone else of their choosing.
