im just saying, thats the only way a wu album would get my attention.
and i was a huuuuuuuuge wu tang fan.
i just dont really like their "sound" anymore

It was unique, refreshing, and different in a time when everyone was still coming off of James Brown and or Jazz samples and loops.

But like all "sounds" it's period has passed. That said, I can't think of another ensemble cast who left a bigger footprint in Hip-Hop. With the exception of U-God, every one of the Wu was deadly on the mic and everyone of their individual albums went on to become a hip-hop classic (Ghostface's second was better than his first).

i cant believe they still together. If an album needs to be done all 9 be there. I prob woulda quit the group after that Flintstone's video.

It's become cliche to hate on Wu these days, so I take a lot of Wu criticisms with a grain of salt from alleged Wu-Tang fans.

They still pump better albums than a good portion of the hip-hop game. Like all groups that have as much longevity as Wu-Tang, they have their share of bad material. But they have much more good than bad.

Only Built 4 Cuban Linx 2, for example, was one of the top albums of last year in terms of quality (and sales, relative to it's mainstream promotion). The ficalness of most "Wu fans" has led me to believe that many are more interested in the behind the scene stuff, rather than the actual music itself. I strongly suspect that a lot of criticisms for 8 Diagrams (which is still a great album, and 3rd best group effort from them in my opinion) wouldn't exist if it was reported they were all happy with the finished product. But, unfortunately, many "Wu fans" want to get caught up with picking a team (i.e. Team Raekwon, Team Ghostface, Team RZA, etc).

In any event, I'm looking forward to this documentary.

man this thing been floatin around for over a year now.

i personally dont think it will ever be released. which is wack cause wu tang are the greatest hip hop group of all time . NO QUESTION!!!

had to settle for this instead.

The Black Rolling Stones definitely started their fall when Ol Dirty got locked up and really dropped after his death. They could never recover, Ol Dirty, just like Pac, were Hip Hop Regulators. Nigga said what he wanted, did he wanted, everybody co-signed. Can't wait to see the whole documentary.

They always talking about making movies about rappers, no rapper in history was as intriguing as ODB. There will never be anything close to ODB again, he won't get the credit he deserves until 30 years from now. It's a difference between saying you don't give a fuck, and not really giving a fuck. This cat really did not give a fuck, Lil Wayne stole his act and ran with it.

If you never saw the Wu perform with ODB, too bad, you will never see a liver show in your life.
