If you need to speed up your Vista machine, and you have a spare USB memory stick sittin around, try Windows Ready Boost. Jumped my lap top from 3 gig to 7 gig.
Plug in your flash drive.
Select Computer.....
go to the flash drive right click properties
select ready boost and allocate as much memory as you need.
