I was at work Saturday supervising these temp agency niggas. These cats are like 18 years old be it but still damn.....

They brung in a boom box (at work?) instead of taking the shit from them I asked what they were listening to.

GUCCI MANE!!!

I started shaking my head laughing, they get upset and tell me how Gucci Mane is the greatest rapper of all time and that he is greatest storyteller of all time!(WTF?)

I told them that Slick Rick was the greatest storyteller of all time, then its a close tie between GhostFace and Snoop Dogg. Them niggas got mad as hell! I mean, mad enough they were trembling and voice shaking. I pulled out my flash drive which had some classic Ghostface tracks on it. I said if ya'll listen to some real hip hop for ten minutes I will listen to Coochie Lame for ten minutes.

I played some Ghost Dienie them niggas could not even comprehend the lyricism and delivery. They were in awe, they were dumbfounded. It was like he was rapping in espanol. They put on Coochie Lame, and I was forced to listen to Dr. Seuss for ten minutes.

I came to the realization that the new generation of kids are stupid as fuck. They dress like fags and listen to pre school rap music. You are a temporary worker and come to work with your ass showing and doo rags on? I guess Gucci Mane told them to wear that to work. They disrespect the forefathers of hip hop and dont give a fuck.

I took their boom box and wrote them up

I'm not that much older than them cats but I hate them!
I hate 95% of young black males, is that sad? Am I wrong? I was dumb as shit at 18 too, I was a thuggy acting nigga too, but at work I dropped that ghetto shit just for those couple of hours. These new niggas dont realize that, I could use that boom box incident as grounds not to hire them as full time employees

An art teacher once told us in class that he can't just grade us on art because of what it is.... its abstract. One art ain't better than another. The best he could do is teach us about the different elements of art and how to apply and/or implement them.

If you are in the south, then you could've used other artists aside from Slick Rick and Ghostface. You got to be relevant. Not saying Slick Rick and Ghostface aint nice, but not everybody is a hip-hop head.

I wrote them up because they wouldnt turn the shit off when there was work to be done. I didnt even turn the write up slip in anyway.

You can grade art, your teacher was either just lazy or he didnt want hurt ya'll feelings cuz ya'll sucked at art. If the art assignment is to draw a fucking circle, dont draw a square and call it art motherfucker. Draw a circle!

You were right about hip hop (you coulda chose a million ghost tracks better than ghost deini even though i love the line "Pull out black burners like tonsils...", such as his verse from Impossible, Motherless Child, mad shit from OB4CL, or the easy one of all All that i got is you)

but you were so wrong to write them up, since yall had a lil truce of sorts since they did listen to ghost, i woulda said you young boys gotta listen to ghost for 15 mins for every five mins of gucci for however much free time they have (figuring they get about an hour of lunch, breaks etc. thats a good 3:1 ratio) and let them learn to love GHost the greatest storyteller in hip hop (and yes i love Slick Rick used to bump the tape non stop except my older brother never let me listen to the last track which wasnt all that bad when i got older and listened to it)

bottomline just hating and writin them up and gonna help them, you cant feed steak to babies to quote the aforementioned Ghost, so you coulda weened them onto some real hip hop instead you let your emotions miss an opportunity

I think the Hip-Hop Generation War is getting out of hand now.
The first rap song I remember listening to is Grand Master Flash "The Message" but the first track I really got into 100% was Easy-E "Radio".
Those 2 songs are as far away as each other as you can get, but I enjoyed both of them for what there were.

You can't force your opinion or taste on other people!

I have two older brothers and a older sister who pumped hip hop and taught me real shit at a early age. I know alot about rap music. I like most of the new artists but when people say Gucci Mane is better than Ghostface and they dont even know the basics of the artform is just ignorance. I wouldnt say Ghostface is better than Grandmaster Flash becuase if it was for Grandmaster, Ghostface wouldnt be around.

I hate niggas who get mad at someone who tells a another man to pull his pants up at work. Because the the dude was listening to too much Gucci Mane so everyone has to see his black ass day. Fuck that. Wrong is wrong.

I stopped liking NWA after Cube left because they became hand puppet sell outs

I didnt like Jeezy at first until he proved that he was a dynamic and creative artists, Gucci has not proved that at all. I wish the younger guys would listen to old school hip hop and see how the shit recycles, and study the game instead of just saying: "I like the beat"

Yeah, these young kats don't have taste when it comes to music or real rap, but it's not their fault. It's made for their generation and it's what they're used to. They don't know anything else to really compare it to.

It's kind of tripped out tho because all they really listen to is rap. We had more genres that we listened to. They're too one dimensional now. What the fuck do they listen to when they're with a female? :confused:
