GRAPHIC CONTENT 'ONE PERSON, 50 POLICE': Cops seen punching man and pinning him at Brooklyn Target after he refused to leave store

Police arresting a 25-year-old man who refused to leave a Brooklyn Target punched the man as they pinned him to the ground, a video posted online shows.

As four officers pin the squirming Alando Brissett down on the floor of the Flatlands store, a male and female officer punched him in the back several times, the tense 14-minute video shows.

“Stop f---ing hitting him,” one woman yelled as a crowd gathers during the Saturday night incident, which happened around 7:20 p.m., police said.

A woman in a blue shirt who walked toward the melee, pointing and apparently scolding the officers, is shooed away as more police arrive on scene, the video shows.

As cops hold down Brissett, the male officer who had punched him uses his knee to pin his head to the floor, according to the video.

“One person, 50 police,” one man yells as 15 to 20 more officers walk into the view of the lens.

Brissett’s grandmother said he often returned bottles at the Target to make some extra money.

She said he had trouble remembering things, which made it hard for him to hold down a job.

He had dropped out of community college, she said.

“He's not a bad kid, he's not a rude kid,” she said of Brissett, adding he often does her laundry for her without her having to ask.

“It hurts me,” she said of the video. “You cannot harm my grandson. He's not a criminal.

NYPD officers were captured on video punching a suspect as they try to arrest him for trespassing inside a Brooklyn Target in Flatlands. The video was uploaded to YouTube on Sunday.

The video, which was posted Sunday on YouTube, is under review, according to a police spokesman.

A Target employee had called police after she got into an argument with Brissett when he requested a receipt after returning bottles, according to the criminal complaint.

Cops said he was arrested after he was asked to leave the store when they arrived.

“I was certainly shocked at the level of force that was used,” said Michael Rolland, 31, who took the video while shopping at the store with his girlfriend.

“I was concerned the force used was excessive.”

Brooklyn resident Michael Rolland was shopping at Target when he witnessed the beat down. He recorded video of the incident.

Michael Rolland said he was shocked by the level of force cops used on the suspect, and wondered if it was excessive.

Brissett was arraigned Sunday on charges of disorderly conduct, trespassing, obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest, according to a police spokesman.

He had initially refused to identify himself to authorities, police said. Brissett was apparently uninjured from the incident.

“At Target, we take the safety and security of our guests, team members and property very seriously,” the company’s spokeswoman said in a statement, referring all other questions to the NYPD.

Thugs in uniform. Can't even deescalate a situation, can't even apprehend one person without using violence.

The Target staff called the police to protect its store and customers. Of course the cameras don't show that.

One man is pinned down by a dogpile of cops and they have to punch the guy. People had the RIGHT to get pissed. This is the REASON people are MAD at the police. They just go brutal on you now. Plus where the hell did ALL these cops magically come from? All this from what is probably a petty shoplifting incident.

Those damn steroids they're taking isn't helping the situation. The police departments need to make these juiced up freaks detox. The blue gang strikes again... Lord please help us...

All the people saying "Target called to protect, cameras don't show that!" have forgotten about INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY! Even before they start that one guy lines his knee up and dives in on his neck. This is plain uncalled for. If they can't do their job, they need to find another line of work. These are humans frustrated and taking it out on another. You are all assuming he is "resisting". Kind of hard to do much of anything with so many piled on top of you. How about I get 4 guys to pin you to the ground and I start kicking you in the kidneys until you comply and get those hands out from under you? Don't bother telling me you can't get your hands out. I won't believe you and you probably cannot speak anyway with a guy on your neck.

The police response looks bizarre to me. The only time we've seen that many cops in one place where I live is when some guy up and killed two of our detectives when they knocked on his front door.

TheJKing stop using your basic common shit "The next time" famous black people don't even call the cops if they get burglarised... Because cops suck and it's far more easier to handle it yourself or to just let it be...

The mother of a man who was caught on tape being punched by two officers arresting him on trespassing charges in a Brooklyn Target said Tuesday she shed tears when she saw the recording.

“I cried when I watched the video,” said the mother of Alando Brissett, who would only give her name as Karen. “It’s not right.”

Brissett, 23, was punched several times in the back as cops pinned him to the ground while arresting him in a Flatbush Target on Saturday, a video taken by a witness showed.

NYPD officers punched and pinned 23-year-old Alando Brissett at a Brooklyn Target, and Brissett’s mother said she cried when she watched the footage.
Cops were called by a store employee after Brissett had gotten into an argument with workers, police said. He had previously signed a form saying he would not return to the store following an earlier incident with staff, police said.
