GP's on the Road Again. Next Stop: London

Arrived here in London at 6am. Got to the Marriott Grosvenor Square Hotel an hour later. Rooms were not ready. Left luggage in storage and went sightseeing with my other two co-workers.

Walked thru Hyde Park down to Buckingham Palace in time to see the changing of the guard. Walked down to the Horse Guards Parade Field and saw the Horse Guards. Walked past Downing Street (PM's residence). Walked down to Parliament/Big Ben. Over to the London Eye Observation Wheel. Back over to Trafalgar Sqaure. Back up thru Hyde Park. Past the US Embassy at Grosvenor Square and back to the hotel.

By this time, it's about 11:30pm. Dave's room is ready, Ken and mine's are not. Ken gets pissed. They get his room ready, so Ken and I go up and hang out there.

Ken has a lady friend that lives in East London, and she came to pick him up. Ken says I can hang out in his room until my room is ready. It's about 1:30pm. I told him I'll give them til 3pm to get it ready.

3pm, I go down to the front desk. They have it ready. As I type this, it's 5:34pm. So that's what went down today.

Tomorrow, work begins. For now, I'm gonna just chill and relax.

I've never been to London, but my homegirl really wants to go badly. I heard it's a bit expensive there, so I wanted to wait until my money gets nice and right to do it the way I want to.

i totally disagree with people who use that philosophy then when you die people will be there saying "oh that Jo always wanted to take a trip to xxx but she never made it" You are a single woman with a decent job and no children no better time then the present.

London is a nice place to come to. There plenty of place to go and visit, some of them are even free.

Last full day here in London.

I told y'all that this was my second time here in London. Thought I'd share some pics the first time I camp to MCP's hometown (Back then, I wasn't a BGOLer)

^^^Back in the days, when prisoners came to the Tower of London, the Traitors Gate was their first look into the fortress.

Yeah, I had to get a pic in with one of the Beefeaters I sport the goatee nowadays.

Lastly, Buckingham Palace and the Victoria mounment:

So I have one more day here. I might get me a football jersey but, I can't decide which one to get. Chelsea, Arsenal, of Tottenham Hotspur. At the addidas store on Oxford, all they have is Chelsea and Liverpool. I'm gonna go down to Niketown and see what they got.

MCP, I had a fun time here in your hometown, my friend. I hope to make a return trip in the future.

My next trip is to Jakarta, Indonesia, in three weeks. I'll keep y'all posted.
