GOP Trying To Boost Palin's Credibility By Keeping Her Name In The Media HA!

Republicans evidently are not aware that McSame and Caribou Barbie got trounced last month. Palin has been all over republican get togethers, the GOP governor's complain fest, Faux so called news and the supposedly dissing of Oprah. She just needs to fade back in to political obscurity just as she was before the GOP convention.

No can do. She electrified the "base" during the campaign and it seems she is still having an effect.

I guess that is all they have to look forward to as their "up-and-coming" leader.

A sad and scary prospect. Unfortunately, her prospective "up-and-coming" success depends to a degree how sucessful the right's attacks are against the real, First Black President; because that could give rise to the First Woman President.

Its really all about how Obama's term ends that will really see the rise of Palin is really a rise or not....

I find it fascinating how the standards have change for a democratic president. If a so called liberal pointed out GW's incompetence, especially before he even took the oath, they would be castigated as anti American and hoping for America to fail. Where as the conservatives/republicans are just strategizing and appealing to their base. Double standards?

NEW YORK -- It looks like Sarah Palin may be ready to tell her remarkable story in print.

The former GOP vice presidential candidate has apparently enlisted the help of superstar Washington attorney Robert Barnett, who has brokered book deals for such political A-listers as President Barack Obama, former President Bill Clinton and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Additionally, he has handled TV deals for a lot of top anchors and reporters such as Brian Williams, Lesley Stahl, Neil Cavuto, Christiane Amanpour and Dr. Sanjay Gupta.

While not an immediate option, TV news is considered an intriguing possible future career path for the telegenic Palin.

Reached by telephone late Wednesday, Barnett said he had no comment.

In the past few weeks, Palin has gone on the offensive, lashing out at the media for they way she and her family have been portrayed, potentially paving the way for her to tell her story in her own words.

There's been a lot of buzz about the future of Palin, who is halfway through her first term as Alaska governor. She's mentioned as a possible 2012 presidential candidate following her sudden rise to stardom after being picked in late August as Sen. John McCain's running mate.

But with her good looks and engaging personality, she also has been bandied as a potential TV personality along the lines of other prominent politicians who have transitioned to television, including Mike Huckabee.

Barnett, who handled Obama's "The Audacity of Hope," already is shopping a book about the 2008 presidential campaign. He recently signed Obama's campaign manager, David Plouffe, to shop his book about the winning campaign tentatively titled "The Audacity to Win."

The Alaska governor's press office didn't immediately respond to a call and an email seeking comment.

Maybe it wasn't the GOP trying to keep Sarah Palin's name in the Media. Maybe, it was Sarah Palin ? ? ?

Meanwhile, some people like Chris Matthews are asking -- Can Sarah Palin read ? ? ? -- while others are saying Sarah Palin's book should give Katie Couric something to read. Others, however, may wonder whether Sarah Palin will explain in any book or TV deal how Sarah Palin's $150,000 clothes from the RNC ended up in the trash.

Perhaps, inquiring minds want to know; and, maybe not ? ? ?

The problem is this though. The GOP can no longer win presidential contests ONLY targeting their base. I don't give a damn what happens with Obama or what she does over the next 4 years, I think it would be almost impossible for this particular woman to become the POTUS..because she gets no support from any dems, independents, etc..she even scares moderate republicans...the only groups really supporting here were the religious conservative/right wing nutjobs..

The heavy hitting GOP members like Huckabee, Romney, etc have very little respect for Palin..and not just because she is the competition... she's completely not qualified for such a position..not even the one she holds now.... Yeah man.. this is self-promotion.. look at the amount of interviews, etc she is doing now AFTER the GE ended...she's signing book deals, etc... she's trying to milk the fame first and then keep herself out there in the national media... she won't run at the top of the GOP ticket though UNLESS it's clear that Obama is gonna win regardless of who runs.. then she'll be promoted as another sacrificial lamb...

She was just on the television the other daying complaining about the media and talking about 'leave my family alone'. NOBODY IS TALKING ABOUT YOU ANYMORE, WTF?

Ironic considering the 100s of thousands of dollars they sold the baby pictures for :rolleyes:

Don’t say I didn’t tell you so!

Sarah Palin will be making her debut as a commentator on Fox News Channel on this evening's edition of "The O'Reilly Factor."

The former Alaska governor and 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee is planning to "take on America's top issues" with O'Reilly, according to Fox.

News broke yesterday that Palin would "host an occasional series that will run on the network from time to time" on the conservative news channel. Fox says she has has a "multi-year deal" to appear on the network, though terms were not disclosed.

Palin majored in journalism at the University of Idaho and worked as a weekend sports anchor in Anchorage in 1988. At left, check out one of her KTUU-TV reports, from when she was still Sarah Heath.

Stop hatin on Sarah. True, she has far too many negatives to make a serious push for pres, but you need to watch that neocon, Scott Brown! The media loves this dude, NOT ME, but the media.

Stop hatin on Sarah.

Criticism is hating? You are such a republican. You received your marching orders from Glen Beck, YOUR hero and he called her the next George Washington and now you are apologizing for her. I know who you will want to be president in 2012!:smh::lol:

you need to watch that neocon, Scott Brown!

The media loves republicans. His campaign rarely mentioned that he is a republican, due the negative branding and the media never called him on it. I guess Glen Beck understands that no matter conservative right a candidate tries to appear in a state like Massachusetts, he cannot run lock step with the current republican tea baggers. Glen Beck is setting YOU and other sheep up for that.

Now you hatin on me! :D

Thought, what is your problem? I don't listen to Beck ! ! ! And I don't support Sarah Palin, Damn.

So where did you get the idea of Scott Brown selling out?

So why do you think I hate Palin?

So where did you get the idea of Scott Brown selling out?

Because Brown voted for Mitt Romney's Universal Healthcare in Mass. (a clear expansion in the role of govt) Beck don't have to tell me jack. Any traditional conservative would fight for limited govt, not expansion! So Brown is what we call a Neocon, just like Bush, Romney, McCaint, Cheney, Palin etc. He will have the talk that he is fighting for limited govt but in reality, he will vote to expand when given the oppurtunity. Once again Beck don't have to tell me jack, just look up voting records

So why do you think I hate Palin?

c'mon man!

Now, I see why the corporations love Sarah Palin.

She is the perfect Fascist patsy.

She is simple-minded.
She will take orders.
She looks good (at least today).
She is ultra-nationalist.
She is pro-military.
She acts unilaterally.
She is pro-white.
She is against civil rights/liberties.
She is clueless about the world around her.

Obama is turning the country against his weak-as-toilet-paper approach to government leadership. All this compromise, let's be friends, we can work together appproach irritates many and makes him look weak to his opponents.

It will make people want a strong, decisive leader who knows what they want and how to get it, regardless of the consequences.

The country will want Palin, all thanks to this sorry Obama.

I see it coming and it is a scary possibility.

Won't happen.

First you're interpretation of Obama isn't necessarily the interpretation others have. I doubt his opponents, namely Republicans, see him as weak. What they do see is he's surrounded by either weak or compromised Democrats who will do their bidding and/or dirty work and then they can pin it on Obama.
You're definitely right in your description of Palin, every single thing. But she'll never be President. The number of people who take her seriously is about the same number of people who showed up at Glenn Beck's rally a couple months ago and that's not enough to get her elected nationally. She would lose all the big states except Texas and that's won't be a given by 2012 considering the growth in the Mexican population in that state.

c'mon man!

You say ‘us,’ so Brown was never one of your candidates, unless you claim republican. His record, as you pointed out was of a candidate committed to solving issues as he sees it, not maintaining ideology. So it was a protest vote against Obama’s lack of change and not a vote for conservatism.

On Brown

He's a Republican but ran like an Independent. Massachusetts has no recent history of a conservative Republican being in the US Senate. Whenever they've elected Republicans, they've been either moderate or even liberal.

Forget him running for national office. Being pro-choice would kill him in the primary races.

Of course he "ran like an Independent." That was totally obvious. The so called Tea Bag movement is an attempt for republicans to run as non republicans.
