Just putting some of the BGOL fam on to this. I have had a separate work phone for years but I don't like mixing business and my personal life. Some of ya'll may know that I go through phones like crazy so I decided to port my main number over to google voice. I have been using an app called groove ip on android that lets you use your google voice number as a VOIP number. You basically jump on wifi or your data network and it allows your to make calls for free. I said screw it and jumped on the T-Mobile pre paid plan offered by walmart or online that is 30 dollars for 100 minutes unlimited text and data and there you have it. I am on wifi at work and at home and when I am not in the office or at home I just connect to Groove Ip via my data plan. Works like a charm.

Do a speed test after using two gigs of data and post your results.

This plan throttles you at 5 gigs. I have only used 385 mbs so far. I'll post it for you once I hit it though. I usually get about 10 to 11 down with my nexus when I am not on wifi.

Been on this plan the first day it came out. I posted a few times about it. Shit is official. With Groove IP & Google Voice you get unlimited minutes. The 5 gigs of 4G data is correct. They wont throttle you after 2 gigs like Sprint & AT&T. I went to 4 gigs a few times and even went over the 5 gigs once.

This is why I wanted the Nexus 4. $300 and $30 a month is the best deal out. The Nexus 4 doesnt have 4g but Tmobile's 3g is fast as fuck and I dont think I would need it.

Its damn near impossible to get that nexus 4 for retail. You sure the nexus on tmobile doesnt run 4g

It does 4G but your won't get the LTE speeds that you would get with and LTE phone. When I was with ATT I was getting an average of 28 down in my area.

You can get it if you're willing to sign a two year contract. But that defeats the purpose of why the phone was created in the first place.

I went to the the tmobile store. I told them that I went to Walmart to get a sim card and that they did not offer it. Tell them to contact customer care when you are at the store and they can activate the plan for you if you already have a phone. They may try to say that they don't offer it in the store but they can do it as long as they have someone from customer care on the phone.

does groove ip allow you to use more than 1 google voice # on one phone without having to log out and back in?

if not how can this be achieved?

I thought i did it before with groove ip but cant get it to do it now

can u use the phone as a 4g hotspot?

There were two apps that I used when I had my tablet. One was Foxfi. That allowed me to tether my phone to my tablet. I even used it to run my Roku box off my phone connection.

I dont remember the name of the other app. But it allowed me to plug my phone into a usb port on my computer and use it as an internet connection.

Get straight talk for $45 a month unlimited everything . Works on all phones , plus u get to use tmobile or AT&T's network (you chose which one u want). Been using it with google voice and iPhone 4s with zero issues. I'm still on AT&Ts fast network

I have not tried this but I do not believe so. It does give you the ability to choose an account but I don't believe that you can do it at the same time.

Slick fucks taking pre-orders. When they are in stock, it says delivered in 3-5 days. Now they saying ships in 1-2 weeks. Google fucking sucks at this store shit. There are people with orders still pending from December. :smh:
