yeah, for what.
that exhaust note is only for attention. people press on the throttle to waste gas to hear muffled combustion explosions to have people look at them. just like people destroying tires doing donuts and peeling off for no reason.

i will take a car with no noise hitting 0-60 in under 4 seconds and be happy. that torque and g force more than make up for the exhaust note.

There is so much R&D going into battery development. EV are starting to get 500 plus range. Once they work out the recharge time, ICE cars are done.
Yeah that’s rich rebuilds his issue with Tesla is that they have a hold on parts so basically they don’t want owners fixing the cars themselves..I made a mistake with the years...off by one.... wow... but you go watch the videos .... that brother that rebuilds them spoke the knowledge..... @thismybgolname posts a load of his videos.... you go find it.... Gas industry had a head start obviously... And how can you say the chargers are practical when 90% of their chargers are located along the US interstate highways.. Go on Tesla website and you will see where all of their superchargers and secondary chargers are located.. They obviously have the infustructure of folk are literally doing road trips coast to coast in Them
In 14 yrs so many people will have them chargers installed in their garage and public locations that it will be nothing.. it’s much easier to install and keep those things working compared to gas stations..plus in 14 yrs they’ll definitely have faster charging process and mobile charging.. people act like 14 yrs won’t be next level upgrades and additions to the world for this thing to work
They average about 350 to 500 miles now depending on size of the battery pack. With million mile batteries. You can possibly keep your car for a long time because electric cars have no moving parts
Once you go electric it is hard to go back to gas. The performance alone is a huge selling point for electric cars. The speed is unmatched
No need to do that as the car won’t allow you to get a full charge. It is built into the cars system
Ive never owned an EV, but Ive driven them. Instant torque an the oh shit factor is great. But largely theyre one trick ponies. Im a "driver." Meaning the art of the perfect heel toe going into a tight corner, powering out on the limit of grip, listening to the engine sing as it reaches the crescendo of red-line... Man fuck them EVs, they cant duplicate the bliss you get from "driving." Id take an S2K over a Tesla anyday, straightline speed be damned.
GM has their million mile battery ready so this won’t be an issue

It’s already happening.. Tesla selling them home chargers for $500... you have to get an electrician to install it which is another $1500 but that’s a tax write off.. My neighbor got the model 3... His home charger gives him 44miles every hour of charge..
I gotta ask... Are you a "car person" or a "driver???" Theres a massive difference. No going at you for your preference, as you like what you like. But a proper drivers car doesnt have to be fast at all. Theres a reason Mazda keeps selling MX5s like hotcakes, and theres a reason the old air cooled flat 6 Porsches keep shooting up in value. A well balanced machine with just enough power, mated to a great manual shifter, and a pleasing engine note is intoxicating on a curvy road, and you dont have to be flying to be having a great time. You cant stop progress, I understand that. But I refuse to believe manual drivers that enjoy those Sunday morning drives carving up back roads are happy with an EV because it can do straight line pulls at hyper car speeds quiet as frogs fucking in the back yard. Again, not dissing you, but I do wonder of you just like cars, or are a driver???
i make two distinctions. you actually added a third one.
i tell people all of the time you have people that "operate motor vehicles" and "drivers." i literally say that verbatim. i am a driver. point blank.
i am also a car person. so i am a driver car person. lol
currently my fun car is a 2L Turbo VW CC with a DSG and a Stage 2 APR tune. My other car is a Chrysler 300s.
i understand carving up back roads and embarrassing people that underestimate the car. i dislike measuring cars on straight line 1/4's. that is not driving.
all that noise is not necessary. american engine notes are annoying and lack sophistication. these hellcats, demons and vettes sound awful. mustangs and camaros sound the worst out of all of them.
this audi r8 engine note is amazing and not annoying.

I agree with you, loud and sonically pleasing are NOT the same thing. I find everything Dodge does specifically is over the top. I cant think of anything they do well. Putting a big ass engine into a platform old as dirt isnt impressive to me. But they have their target demo, and I respect that Im not in it. I drive an FK8 Civic Type-R. I HATE the lack of noise!!! Ive had it up to 160 plus, WIDE THE FUCK OPEN and had the stereo been on I wouldnt have known. Im glad for the shift lights because you damned sure cant listen for the red line.
Trust me it is the truth. You can call it conspiracy. You know the first cars that came out. One was electric and one was gas. One of them you got in front of the car and keep turning a thing in the front of the car to crank it. When cars first started out they got rid of the electric car and kept the gas one. Generations later we still got the gas car. But it is true that over 25 years ago the ev's were being mass produced and the gas had cars would soon be faded out. But then the gas gaints and the government outlawed the electric cars . They put 4 of them in a museum but took out the engine and the ignition so they could not be duplicated. It is only the truth. Maybe with the protesting behind this they finally had to start allowing something. But they didn't take certain things awayYou see conspiracy's everywhere........
