I didn’t want to believe Bgol and the reviews , the only way to describe this movie is that it has no soul , it’s just bland
Denzel is just having fun collecting a check ,
This movie has no classic quotes like the first one
Ridley Scott a legend but Hollywood needs To stop giving him a blank check
Movie is a 6/10
Don’t think I would ever watch again
A few things I noticed during one fight a punch was thrown, the punch didn’t even hit the person and they fell down , I don’t know how the editors missed that
Also the cgi animals looked so bad , specially the monkeys in the colosseum

This shit was garbage! Talk about a movie that never should’ve been made. 3 out of 10 stars only because of Denzel. Truthfully, it was a one.

I give "PROMETHEUS" a pass due to its existential ending with Shaw and David venturing to see The Engineers.
Which Sir Scott destroyed by making "COVENANT" a by-the-numbers Horror flick.
I'm still angry about that shit.
Scott also took control and Poo-Poo'd what Neil Blomkamp had set up perfectly with his own vision.
A vision supported by both Sigourney Weaver and Micheal Biehn.
Can't forgive him for that shit either.

“I think the recent sequel that, you know, we don’t have to name out loud is a really unfortunate example of even the people in that engine room not actually understanding what made the first one special,” Crowe said. “It wasn’t the pomp. It wasn’t the circumstance. It wasn’t the action. It was the moral core.”
In the lead up to the November 2024 release of “Gladiator 2,” Crowe repeatedly stated that neither Ridley Scott nor anyone involved with the sequel reached out to him to consult on the film (if they had, he might’ve protested against making Lucius the son of Maximus). Crowe also never expected Mescal to contact him either, given Maximus’ death at the end of the original “Gladiator.” At the Karlovy Film Festival, Crowe even urged the press to stop asking him about the “Gladiator” sequel.
