Ghana President Makes a firm statement to the visiting French President

Patrice Lumumba had similiar beliefs. europe don't want an economic and political stable africa, they need to control it.

Nana talks a good talk but is weak on the positive actions required to back up that talk.

Ghana imports huge amounts of food. Any serious Ghanaian leader should make that their first priority to make Ghana self sufficient in food production and then process for export. We are still an agricultural based economy but still using production methods from last century.

His policies on free secondary education and industrialization * One district one factory* are weak on the sources of funding to sustain them. A leader of his education and experience should not be pulling this sort of stunt. Time will tell whether it will be sustained. Whether all those projected factories and industries will get built, be profitable and will last the test of time.

His inability to deal with the many cases of corruption for me is a sign that he is all talk and no action. Corruption has become an endemic mindset in the country and until it is addressed the institutions he talks about will never function the way they are supposed to and therefore will never fulfill their mandates. State institutions in African countries are not effective so relying on them as the vehicles to drive change is a flawed direction.

Nana schooled and worked in France so has a soft spot for that nation. Getting into bed with the French is one of the worst things he could do. France still controls ALL its former colonies. Those countries never achieved independence. France controls their currency. France has first options on ALL major minerals and resources in all those countries. France has a military presence in All its colonies. They are all still French colonies let us not deceive ourselves. So I hope he will not be dumb enuf to let french companies into Ghana to start taking positions for the influx of the french into Ghana. France has successfully indoctrinated the minds of africans from its colonies that they cannot think of true independence from France. It sad.

What is it about the black man that we always look up to the white man and see ourselves as subservient to them and depending on them for everything....

You answered it fam. Letters from Willie Lynch is still applying.

Control the mind, control the body.

We have the same problem in Madagascar. French colonized, all anyone can ever do is talk about going to France, visiting France, moving to France someday. It's retarded but its colonization and happens everywhere unfortunately.

Plus there's an ere of "we can't do it without the white man's finances" as well.

But like Jay-Z said, were not second class citizens to nobody. We're some of the most brightest and intelligent people the world has ever seen.

We just need to start believing it.

I agree with you on all points. As a Ghanaian who goes every other year, I find his comments very hypocritical to chastise the French but not any other non African presence there. Especially the Chinese. The Chinese in Ghana are the worst at this. It wasn’t under Nana’s administration who allowed the Chinese in but he has to address them. The Chinese brought in their own workers, pollute the land and water. They have their own security with guys openly carrying guns and threaten you confront them. I’m like what the fuck, the Chinese run my country?

That Chinese galamsey issue is unbelievable...
What I find interesting is there are always black people ready to aid and abet foreigners to rape our countries and our people for paltry sums of money.
So there a Ghanaians helping Chinese set up these mining operations

we shall see, that's all i can say. we shall see. me personally, i've given up on the west raping Africa. it's not gonna end. it'll be such till the end of the time. call me a pessimist if you want. i think history has shown that most african leaders are always given the "la plata o plomo" choice from the west. as a leader, which would you choose? being the leader of an african nation is the worst job to have.

Marcon's like this fils de pute, t'es un marrant pute...FERME TA GEUELE. Just look at Marcon's face. He's like, this sounds good but you aint doing shit boy. Marcon did the president of Guinea dirty too. Like dont touch my hand you dirty bitch LOL. France owns most of Africa.
