Man, this shit is bananas. I hope FIA gets their shit together so Porsche, Audi and some other works teams can compete in the WEC again. As well as privateers.
Can you imagine this beast on the Fuiji backstretch?

New record - 5:19.546
Old record - 6:11.13

I’ve been around that track 5 times and my fasting time was 8:05 on my damn bike!

The drivers you see bringing in those times have been around that bitch no less than 50 times, I bet.
They know that shit like the back of their hands.
Love seeing vids of the Ring!

How much was track time? What were you riding?
I've never been on a track with my bike, I'd be shook...

It should be noted that Porsche broke their OWN record that stood for 35 years.

I've driven the track and that shit is hairraising at 50-100 MPH let alone the speeds these guys do.

It was €100 for the entire day.
I say was because I haven’t been back since 2012, so I don’t know if their rates have changed since then.
All you needed was a full leather suit and you could ride until you were exhausted.

I was riding my ‘08 Gixxer 1000

https://www.rsrnurburg.com/product/track-days - much better than public day - https://www.rsrnurburg.com/product/public-driving-sessions

Public day you get buses and shit. Stopping at Karussell to take pictures and whatnot. A mess.

Your best bet is to buy or rent or borrow a video game that has the track and practice until you know it. I've driven it so many times on video games I know every curve but I still wasn't prepared for the elevation and camber changes.
