Galaxy note 2 question note2 Headz chime in

Finally got a note 2, Verizon branded international version , I was warned not to get a tmobile joint as it might get locked to the original sim card owner if for whatever reason the former owner decides to report it stolen or lost . I didn't know the the phone has both sim card & CDMA ( non sim card fone eg:- verizon , sprint ,etc) anyway I was told by dude its an international fone , so I can use it when i dip overseas. I'm told to unlock it for use with my service but also other said data might be funky if not unlocked .
Just worried if it havin the verizon logo might fuck me up later as I'm a Solavei user( tmobile pretty much )

The unlocked versions don't allow hspa on tmobile, I think. If you have LTE in your local your fine, though.
