A topic of discussion among many fans lately is whether Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr. will renegotiate with Marvel Studios for future appearances in their films. The Hollywood Reporter says that the actor met with Kevin Feige and many other executives last night to begin laying out the groundwork for his return. Insiders say that the negotiations looked to his return as the character in the upcoming Avengers 2 and a third "Avengers" film. A fourth Iron Man film was said to not be included in the talks as it is unclear if Downey Jr. is interested in another stand-alone feature as the character.

Beyond the news that Marvel is developing a third "Avengers" movie, THR also revealed that the studio has scripts in development for Ms. Marvel and a reboot of the character Blade (whose screenrights were recently returned to Marvel). Other films still in the pipeline at Marvel, with no production date in sight, include Doctor Strange, Iron Fist, Black Panther and The Runaways.

Furthermore, Kevin Feige spoke with Collider and said there are currently no plans to make spin-off films for the characters War Machine (played by Don Cheadle) or The Falcon (Anthony Mackie in the upcoming Captain America: The Winter Soldier).

Which of these movies do you want to see in the future? Would you rather have an Avengers 3 than Iron Man 4? Sound off below!

If they put this out to keep the Black people calm it worked for now.

Cause Iron Fist has Luke Cage potential and Black Panther Falcon War Machine and the leader of the Runaways is a brother...

shit even straight to DVD would be fine with me...bet brothers wouldn't even bootleg that joint:D

Iron Fist should have the Wachowskis or John woo attached. Damn ot would work as a series on network TV or even Cinemax (Banshee style)
Cause Runaways would be a PERFECT WB series
The Falcon is so perfect to release next during Fourth of July and celebrate African American WWI/WWII military...

this makes WAY too much common sense for them to do.:hmm:

 Dude can save all that dancing. His great-grandkids might like it though.

:hmm: messed up man.

You know they don't give a damn about keeping Black folks calm, P.:D

"Runaways" would be a good series but not for WB, they own DC.

Black Panther would be great. A Luke Cage would be even better.

I would say a Luke Cage is alot cheaper for them to make and won't pull nearly the amount of money that a well made Black Panther could. Also, Black Panther falls directly in-line with Avengers, as a matter of fact, I wouldn't be surprised if it has a Captain America cameo.

The way he's been written in the last half decade or so, Cage could be written directly into the Avengers as well.
At this point, "Marvel" is the name that sells and they're going to put that to the test with "Guardians of the Galaxy". "GotG" does well, everything will be made at one point or another.

I hope you're wrong, because everybody will be looking at Marvel on why no "Black Panther" movie isnt being produced...

Let's be honest only a few people would really care about Black Panther. Some die-hard comic book fans and a few of us blacks. If it ain't one of Tyler Perrys none-sense they don't care.

Sadly, In order for it to have a fair chance they would likely have to cast a "white" counter-part and very likely have a "mixed" Wakanda.

Some sad truth to that. If it's seen as "too Black" a lot of White folks will not turn out. They may turn Wakanda into a land where everyone lives together in harmony instead of the unconquerable African nation of mythic proportion.

Add Big Hero 6 to the list

And add the fact that they will be marketing a movie about an advanced African country to the entire world and it has the potential to flop no matter how good it is. But I still hope they risk it at some point. May be best to add him to a few of the movies before giving him his own movie. Would build a buzz and test the waters.

I was working on Luke Cage and I think that would actually be a very good series also.

Just go with the look of The Americans on FX and set it in the 70s...start off in the prison trying to survive and use flashbacks to the time growing up and have many allusions and foreshadowing to him becoming Powerman and weave in popular 70s versions of B-List existing Marvel characters.

The n end the 1st season with the testing and make the headband part of the restraints and the yellow jumpsuit and chains part of the experiment's prison garb.

Later have the big escape and dealing with capture, adjusting to his powers both physically and mentally (good way to introduce Iron Fist and the Dragons), social issues and encountering other heroes and villains.

I put Black Panther last because I just don't see how white Hollywood won't fuck this up. (a) insert white sidekick or some white character to frame the movie, (b) depower Wakanda, (c) fucked up African accents and bullshit casting (tyler perry)

I'd love to see Dr. Strange and Heroes for Hire as R-Rated films.

reboot...?

That's true but you can do a good Panther screenplay with him in America with references to Wakanda. They just have to want to do it.

This is a good idea actually and can be done without fucking it up and making the White character the real star. That's exactly how Christopher Priest did it in the 90s when he was writing Panther's book. It has a little less superhero shit and explored the political side of the king of a sovereign nation running around on US soil, whooping ass.

I hear you but I wonder who could direct Black Panther?

Would it HAVE to be a Black Director? (Maybe the dude who directed Bourne Identity, Del Toro did Blade 2, dude who did District 9???)

I wouldn't mind a white person being the one who visited Wakanda and we see his disbelief and doubt of the greatness of this great African nation.
