For example if you approach an alligator, it will turn and go the other way or alert you to its presence like bruh, you walking all over my house. Now if you make yourself an easy snack by jumping in the water next to one then yeah he will eat you.

A croc on the other hand will chase you down the second he sees you. While an alligator will mind its business and turn the other way
