"Thi-thi-thi-thi-thi-thick" (Thick) #AIArt
As an AI artist, my mission is to create beautiful depictions of the black experience, by incorporating my love for travel, events and capturing moments that matter. The Houston Rodeo AI Collection, which is more popular than I ever could have imagined, has sparked important and interesting debates about body positivity and diversity.
I'm grateful for all the feedback and constructive criticism.
Nate wrote, "we come in all shapes and size however I noticed not many plus sized..."
Dr. Moore wrote, "... this is not meant to disparage but I would like to request a little more diversity in body image..."
Sharonda Grandberry #ShotHerShot, found her way to Gmail, offered to be my Full Figured Model, submitted pictures, and gave everything she was supposed to give!
As someone who has always been plus-sized, I understand the importance of representation. This collection is dedicated to those who wear size 14 and up, celebrating the beauty and strength of all shapes and sizes.
While I'm mindful of things like complexion, age, and body image and purposefully #Prompt4Diversity, I recognize that there's always room to do more. As an AI artist, I face limitations in capturing both face and body, but I'm committed to finding new ways to showcase diversity in all its forms.
I believe that this collection is not just about body positivity but also about highlighting the importance of representation for black women, who are often underrepresented in the media. We are thick, curvy, plus-sized, big-boned, fat, full-figured, and still fly. We deserve to be seen, celebrated, and empowered.
This collection is for all of us who have ever felt invisible or excluded. Let's continue to push for diversity in AI art, amplify our voices, and celebrate the beauty of our bodies. Together, we can make a difference.
Thank you to everyone who has supported this collection and joined the conversation. Let's keep the momentum going.
