Black men back in the 50s/60s did not have full access to firearms due to Jim Crow laws. Today they have full access as much as White Men.

Back in the day they used their fists or pulled out switchblades, baseball bats, ball pin hammers or whatever to get the upper hand.

The only cats carrying firearms back then were high level members in gangs/organized crime groups, similar to how the Japanese Yakuza controls access to who has access to firearms in Japan today.
