Jerrell Noah Jones faces attempted 2nd-degree murder charge
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – An 18-year-old was arrested after hitting a man with his vehicle and running over his head multiple times before driving off, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
Jerrell Noah Jones was arrested Monday in connection with the Sept. 16 aggravated battery on Silver Star Road near Belco Drive.
According to an affidavit for an arrest warrant, a witness told deputies that a man had walked between her car and a silver Dodge Dart, driven by Jones, when Jones turned the wheels and drove toward the man, knocking him over and driving over his body.
The vehicle then reversed over the man’s head, drove over his head and reversed once more before speeding off, deputies said.
“It’s kind of crazy. I wouldn’t think something like that could happen, but it does at the end of the day,” one person in the area said.
The victim had a fractured skull and multiple brain bleeds as a result, according to authorities.
