Florida Teens Charged in Chilling Murder Plot. Wanted to Revive Sandy Hook Killer.
Two teenage girls from Lake Brantley High School in Altamonte Springs, Florida, allegedly plotted to kill a classmate in a bizarre scheme tied to the Sandy Hook shooter, and were caught on audio laughing and saying “it’s over” right after their arrest.
Isabelle Valdez, 15, who identifies as transgender and goes by Jimmy, and her best friend Lois Lippert, 14, were taken into custody on January 23, 2026, following an anonymous tip. According to Altamonte Springs police reports, the tip came in late the night before, warning that Valdez planned to attack a 15-year-old boy the next day.
Investigators say Valdez brought a large knife, about 10 to 12 inches long, along with gloves, trash bags, wipes, flowers for the victim’s funeral, and cigarettes she intended to smoke afterward. She allegedly told school officials she heard voices urging her to stab the boy in a bathroom to form a “blood bond” that would bring back Adam Lanza, the deceased perpetrator of the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary shooting. Valdez reportedly stalked the boy, took his photos, and learned his schedule. Lippert allegedly assisted by buying supplies and sharpening the knife.
Both girls face charges of attempted first-degree premeditated murder as adults. They’re currently held in jail, with prosecutors arguing they’re a threat to the community and should remain locked up pending trial.
After the arrests, officers placed the pair in the same patrol car, where body camera audio captured them joking around. “It’s over,” Valdez said, and Lippert replied, “Yeah, it’s over. It doesn’t matter if you look good or not.”
