Florida coach Tim Walton appears to push Auburn SS Haley Fagan

I am holding this white lady to the same standards they'd hold a black athlete.
Tonya would be called classless and would need to be looked into about playing the right way in this exact same situation
Great point. I'm not caping for this white girl, especially when you consider the type of hell she'd catch if she was instead Black or Brown.

So now you want to be like them.... I don't base my actions on what "they" would do. That's why we treat each other so fucked up. Bottom line for me. Keep ya muthafucking hands off of my daughter unless she gives the o.k.

Fuck being like them
I'm not letting them off the hook.
Letting them off the hook is why they do the shit they do right now.

As a dad of a little girl who plays sports

she would have caught hell for being a poor sport and disrespectful to a coach regardless of past beef...

she BETTER than that.

I don"t think he meant to hit her...I think he was actually just going thru the motions, and if he did mean to nudge her?

You know what?

then she can address it, but she WILL NOT BE CRYING.

She wanted to act grown, she IS grown.

Do the RIGHT thing.

She initiated that whole thing

no drama queen bullsh*t after.

(I'm still gonna "talk" to that coach though regardless, privately and he will KNOW to NEVER touch my kid)

I can see your point

I feel the same way

You don't think he meant to hit her?...watch again, are you sure?

You saying you don't high five at people's faces? :roflmao:

Pettiness
That's the first thing I thought of when I saw this video. Pettiness - on at least her side, and maybe his. He had his hand up I don't know if he did not see her hand up and just had his hand up. But I know she was being petty

Dude look at the picture..his hand is not just up, it's extended.

not sure...he DID apologize

apparently there is history there. So it appears he DID tap her on purpose.

But I am DAMN sure she DELIBERATELY tried to embarrass him in PUBLIC.

But as a parent?

She is JUST as wrong.

Because she WANTED to make a scene.

Either hit his hand or don't participate in the line.

That's it.

No one asked her to make a scene or a spectacle of herself.

That's Instagram YouTube drama queen sh*t we don't tolerate.

She WAY too old for childish antics like that

And the crying after is what REALLY got me mad.

Don't do that.

You just demeaned and infantilized not only your fellow teammates but EVERY female athlete there.

suck it up smack his hand and lets go...or DON'T even go near him.

Trying to show him up is what gave that man the OPENING to touch you.

And now I gotta go check him.

Even though I KNOW you started it and were wrong.

But yeah he shouldn't have tapped her, but she is JUST as wrong.

Florida coach Tim Walton apologizes to Auburn shortstop Haley Fagan for postgame push

Florida coach Tim Walton issued an apology to Auburn shortstop Haley Fagan for his part in a postgame pushing exchange between the two following Monday night's game in Gainesville.

"I apologize to Haley," Walton said in a statement released by Florida Tuesday morning. "I just wanted to congratulate Auburn on the win - it was a good series.

"My intent was to give a high-five to each opposing player as we do after every game. Apparently, her hand wasn't up as I said 'good game' and I touched her shoulder. I should have paid closer attention and did not intend to upset her. I regret that this has taken attention away from the effort and sportsmanship both teams displayed all weekend."

Fagan has not addressed the matter publicly as of Tuesday morning.

Spokesman for Auburn and the SEC have not responded to requests for comment.
