i don't wear hats very much nowadays, but my biggest beef is the front of hats, they are bigger than they use to be 10 years ago, and you can't curve them as smooth as you could back then, its so big, i never wear it the right way, i always wear it backwards. I thought this post was going to be about the big fronts on today's fitted caps.
Man these fucking fitted caps always be off. A damn 7 1/4 with one New Era will feel like 7 in another New Era. Shit be pissing me off sometimes cuzz I do a lot of online hat ordering.
New Era also fkd me up when they started using various materials. Don't know about your location but here in Atl, far as I know Lids and Foot Locker have the most fitted caps. Their getting better but a year ago they selling all these paper feeling hats. I remember going Lids and I asked the girl if something had changed in the material and she informed me the paper feeling hats (i forgot the exact name she called them) were the in thing. They had the regular material hats but not in a variety of colors, pretty much the authentic colors. I think those different texture hats changed the fit of the hats, if not they definitely changed the way the hats look on your head. You ngz can also blame rappers like Fabolous for all the crazy fitting hats, I guess when rappers a few years back started wearing over sized hats New Era started changing the fit. Kind of like when baggy shyt was in it was hard to find regular/relaxed fitting shyt, then when tight shyt came in style a nga had to buy shyt 2x the size just for a relaxed fit.
To the op, the last few hats i bought are all the same size, but they all fit smooth when i have a fresh hair cut (i have a low cut), if i don't get a cut every 2 weeks the hats definitely fit tighter. I think anytime you wear a properly fit hat for an hour or so its going to leave a mark on your forehead, just like if you wear glasses for a few hours, etc...But, Lids (a popular hat place here) have all kinds of custom stuff for your hats to fit properly, to survive water, to properly clean you hats, to customize your hat, etc....So I'd check with the popular chain in your area, but I just end up buying the same damn hat every 5 or 6 months.
