FYI gutting fish doesn't kill them. I know this for a fact. A partner of mine caught a rainbow trout and decided to gut it while we were at still at the lake. After gutting it it jumped out of his hand.

This video is interesting. I would love to know if that fish was freshly caught. I know it acted fresh.
