How many times have you been fired from a job? When you got fired did that make you second guess your career path? How quickly did you bounce back into the job market and find another job?

layed off 2x I gotta pay bills so I kept it moving. Naw it didn't make me consider a different career path. I was looking the next day had a job with in 2 weeks the first time. second time took a little longer about 6 weeks, both times had enough loot saved for 6months plus.

I was fired yesterday. Thankfully I have some money saved up. I don't think it'll take me long to bounce back. Had a interview today actually.
Long story short, I worked at a hotel on the party side of town where the white people were the minority in the work place and felt alienated. The white people were upset seeing that black people ran the hotel and bent the rules just as they would if they were in power.
A couple times these sorry ass crackers would call the corporate office pretending or getting friends or family to pretend to be high level hotel guests unhappy with the hotel management trying to get the blacks in power fired.
This one sorry ass cracker so called herself a whistle blower by calling corporate and HR to lunch and sanged to them for 2 hours but they didn't really give a fuck.
So last week our hotel was invited to a company Christmas party. Since folks had to much to drink, 8 employee's stayed the night at the hotel. Well this lonely fat ass cracker who is about to be fired shuttled the employee's back and forth from the party called corporate to tell that employee's were sleeping in the room for free.
Corporate has a sale's manager at the hotel who doubles as a mule watching, e-mailing, and texting the activities of the hotel to her sugar daddy in corporate. Corporate has the sale's manager go over the security tapes...
This is where I come in. The previous night before this party, I let a co-worker sleep in a room. Management even ok'd this person staying numerous times before but because corporate is involved they act like they knew nothing about people staying in rooms for free which they authorized numerous times themselves before.
Because I consider myself a standup guy, I take full responsibility for my actions, tried to keep the job of a fellow worker, and did not incriminate or throw anyone under the bus out of spite.
I and the employee who stayed in the room is fired where the 7 other employee's who stayed the following night, nothing is said or done.... so far.
I ain't mad about the firing because I was in the wrong but I'm mad about how it went down. If it wasn't for this silly ass Christmas party I would of still had a job and I was up for promotion too.
It was fun while it lasted, I actually considered them the family I never had.

if you are not an asshole most times when you lose you job, its just life telling you time to move on, something way more suitable and compatible to your needs out there...

Once, all others i left amicably. And yes when i was fired i did think, "Maybe i'm really not cut out for all of this."
