We hope you didn't go to the trouble of importing the Keycase Folio from the UK -- AIDACASE has just announced that it's making the iPad case available in the US in a slightly improved "deluxe" version. That naturally includes the same Bluetooth keyboard as before, but AIDACASE has opted to use a micro USB cable instead of an Apple dock connector for charging the keyboard, and it's added a new magnetic flap to keep the case securely closed. What you fail to understand is that there are many types of consumers.

Some want it to replace their laptop (those who do email/web browsing mainly)

Some want it as a media player with apps.

Some want it as an ultraportable.

By having and giving options (while still keeping it closed off somewhat - no usb) you can take chunks from all types of markets.

It's foolish to NOT have it as such.

Look at how thin that is. Easily tossed into a bag.

Sometimes you guys just want to hate for hating sake, just like those who love just because it's apple.

As for me, as an ipad owner I no longer carry my laptop around. It's strictly a stay at home or work machine. It sucks I don't have flash on the iPad, but anything I've wanted flash for on the iPad hasn't been time sensitive. I just save the link and view at home later.

and about 99% of the people who really wanted a laptop and bought a ipad instead are going to be pissed when they realize how limited it is. Plus best buy has all their rep pushing the Ipads hard, visit one and tell a rep u want a netbook and i bet the rep will be telling you that netbooks are crap and u should get a Ipad. chances are the reps are probably getting some spiff for selling alot of units.

Don't understand why ppl are bashing Apple or iPad owners...Apple didn't make this product...and there's no telling if ppl are even buying it in any event I COULD see a use for it...if I'm traveling carrying an iPad in a folio w/ a preassembled keyboard IS lighter and more convenient than carrying a laptop/netbook...and the keyboard would be useful for back @ the hotel...@ $100 tho it is waaay too pricey imo

Hell yeah. I'm stuck right now.

This week I was gonna get the Dell Streak.

$300 with a 2 year contract with ATT. This is big enough, 5 inches, to be used as a tablet but small enough (barely) to be used a phone.



Then I remembered the Archos 101

Around $350 for the 16 gig model, sd card expandable. A great sized tab, 10 inches, that actually plays flash. The only gripe I have is its Wi-Fi only and no gps. I have a piece of shit Blackjack II phone that I used to connect my laptop to for the internet. Its not a smartphone so I only payed $15 a month so if I can connect it to the Archos then I have my new tab. The only question is is it worth the hassle everytime I can't find wi-fi to pull out my phone and usb cable to connect it to this tab or should I just get a cell phone that I can make a wi-fi hotspot?



Lastly you have the Samsung Galaxy Tab.

Right in the middle of the first two tabs I posted, 7 inches. Camera is only 3mps but can record in 720p but if your getting a tab are these necessary features? Its coming to ATT who I'm already with and have a 25% monthly discount on my bill already. It can be used as a phone but putting a 7 inch device up to your ear will look absolutely ridiculous. You would have to get a bluetooth for calls but what about something as simple as a text message. Do you want to respond to one on this big ass device. If they offer just a data package I could see getting it but not bundled as a phone.
