Fileserve Banning Paying Clients – landing error 612

So I woke up this morning ready to download some of my favorite TV shows from fileserve. But instead of getting my files I get a retarded error message. It says “Your download could not be completed” I get redirected to a landing page landing-error.php error_code 612. I contacted support and I still haven’t got a reply from them 24 hours later, so I was searching the net for a while trying to figure out the problem, I came across their official support thread located here: http://www.wjunction.com/95-file-ho...5-per-1000-downloads-official-thread-2183.htm

I find out that it’s not just me who has the problem, but thousands of paying subscribers have been banned from their network. You’d think the reason would be because of media copyright agents forcing them to ban accounts. But that’s 100% NOT the case. Fileserve administrator RickyFS has been banning paying clients for using too much bandwidth… Hang-on a minute, don’t they clearly state when signing up that people have an unlimited bandwidth quota?fileserve_unlimited_scam

Of course even I know that unlimited bandwidth never really means unlimited, usually there is a clause in a companies Fair usage policy which will give customers a clear indication showing how much bandwidth is too much, but with fileserve there is no such mention. Moreover, when contacting their sales team and asking about their fair usage policy the same response is always given “WE OFFER UNLIMITED BANDWIDTH”. Now you’d also think that they’d just be going after the people who were downloading terrabytes of data every day, but even this isn’t the case. There have been many paying clients who have had their IPs banned for simply downloading around 100Gb in a month!! I mean seriously, even rapidshare used to offer atleast 150Gb per month before they swiched to unlimited. They’re banning people who use their premium service VERY minimally, you only need to see the support thread link I posted above to see just how unhappy so many of their customers are, and quite rightly so! You’d think this would be the end of it, but on top of their pathetic bannings of legitimate paying members, RickyFS is going so far as to refuse support to clients who have anything negative to say about what has happened:

Dirty leeches on services have been stopped. All legitimate users just need to wait a little before everything is back to normal -RickyFS

RIP Fileserve

Great it ain't my problem. No downloading illegal content. I pay for my tv viewing.
