Well see you have a "friend" and then you have a "friend with benefits".
The "friend" is the one in the "friend zone" not the "FWB". That is why it is dangerous to have friends nowadays for both men and women because not everyone is trustworthy.
There's no science to it. The dudes that complain about being in the friend zone are probably that one male friend that most females have. Even then they are emergency dick, they just don't know it.

Very true. I asked this because the female friends I have now, i've gone through already. They're good company now, and it's cool to have them around for the "just in case" factor, but I noticed that some of these girls keep other cats around as well, so I started wondering if this was a red flag or not.
As in should one be careful about how many guys a girl keeps around her.
Ok ladies riddle me this. I know a female that not only have male freinds around on contact. Some she knows they want to fuck. She says she ain't fucked um. And she has a boyfriend. She let a guy that wants to fuck come over and fix sum shit at her crib. Is it worse if she keeps guys around as friends that she knows are attracted 2 her? And want 2 fuk? Why is she keepin um around?
One thing I've noticed
Women that don't have many male friends have an inability to maintain stable relationships. She doesn't have to have dozens and dozens of male friends (who does have more than a few really good friends anyway as an adult?) but a couple good friends. Those chicks tend to not be able to talk to or understand men in any substantial way because all the advice they get are from other women.

She keep them niggas around for attention and convenience.... for her luxury, rather.
She knows she can get just about anything from them, or get them to do anything for her, within reason. So, she keeps 'em on hand like the 6th man coming off the bench in a clutch.
The shit works for her until one of two things happens, either the men realize that she is not a friend because she never gives back, or she realizes that the err of her ways contributes to her not having a good relationship because the guy that's interested in her sees her ways and thinks, "so if I'm not around or if you're mad at me...you'll just call one of these niggas?! Niggas that really wanna fuck." And leave her to carry on with Tom, Dick, and Harry.

Back in the day, we used to call that chick "the cool chick" but through life & experience, have met cooler chicks who don't get down like that with a shitload of alterior motives, ready to come unhinged when shit 'falls' out of her favor, so to speak;
nowadays, those chicks dont have to be cool, but more gamey, dumbed down & simple, working what they want & placing their needs higher above anything else.......the quiet, self serving 'good girl' to some
@ times, this same type of chick has the affinity toward believing her own bullshit, learns slow from her mistakes & is open for more shit down the line by not trusting her instincts and insight she's supposed to have.
