If you are familiar with <s>FOX</s> FAKE News and their deliberate propaganda (lies) campaign, to deceive low information cac viewers then these clips are not shocking. Black viewers are not stupid, Black viewership of <s>FOX</s> FAKE News is less than 2%; however it is important to see the propaganda to understand how so many low information racist cacs get the lies programmed into their dimwit brains.

John Stewart's daily show highlights <s>FOX</s> FAKE News’ absurd racist depiction and characterization of “POOR” people as animals, or rats looking for cheese. No we can’t raise personal income taxes an additional 3.6% on income over $250,000 and raise capital gains taxes from 15% back to the 1990’s 20%. No we can’t do that because that would be “class warfare”.

Anyhow the “POOR” ($22,350 annual income for a household containing FOUR people) —are doing great. They have refrigerators, cell phones, and microwaves —they are doing Great!

Newt Gingrich Calls For End Of Child Labor Laws

November 25, 2011

Newt Gingrich regards making poor inner city kids to clean school toilets to be a form of career vocational training.

Candidate Newt Gingrich called child labor laws “truly stupid,” and proposed ending them. Gingrich’s plan includes firing unionized school janitors and replacing them with poor children who coincidentally are mostly African American and hispanic. Gingrich then said that these children would work under a “master janitor.”

“It is tragic what we do in the poorest neighborhoods, entrapping children in child laws which are truly stupid,” Gingrich said. “Saying to people you shouldn’t go to work before you’re 14, 16. You’re totally poor, you’re in a school that’s failing with a teacher that’s failing. I tried for years to have a very simple model. These schools should get rid of unionized janitors, have one master janitor, pay local students to take care of the school. The kids would actually do work; they’d have cash; they’d have pride in the schools.

The reason we have to child labor laws is to prevent children slave labor from being abused by unscrupulous employers. Prior to these laws is being passed there were 8 year olds working in coal mines, 5 year olds working in unsafe conditions in factories with no exposure to natural light. The work day for these children was generally 12 to 16 hours, six to seven days a week. Children were cheaper so "job creators" used kids rather than adults when they could. The kids were paid less than a dollar for a days work. This practice went on in the US until Franklin Roosevelt made it illegal in the 1930's. Newt wants to go back.

Despite a vociforous rebuke from non-neanderthal "reality based" individuals, Newt Gingrich doubled-down on his insistence that "urban" kids clean toilets and mop school floors.

What if you have a broken refrigerator ?

What if you don't have any food in your refrigerator?

Do you still have it good ?

Phoenix Mayor Attempts To Live On A Food Stamp Budget:

‘I’m Tired, And It’s Hard To Focus’

by Travis Waldron

Sep 26, 2012 |
&nbsp;&nbsp; When local activist groups challenged Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton to live on a food <div align="right"><!-- MSTableType="layout" -->
<img src="http://thinkprogress.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/gregstanton.jpg" width="170" align="right"></div>stamp budget for a week to mark Hunger Awareness Month, he took them up on the offer and found out just how hard it was. Stanton kept a diary on the challenge, which allotted him roughly $29 a week, the same amount 1.1 million Arizonans receive from the Supplemental Assistance Nutrition Program (SNAP) each week.

By day four, Stanton noted that he was “tired” and “it’s hard to focus” after leaving the house for work without time to scramble eggs or eat a decent breakfast:

OK- ran out the door today with no time to scramble eggs or even make a sandwich. So I’m surviving on an apple and handful of peanuts, and the coffee I took to the office until dinner. I’m tired, and it’s hard to focus. I can’t go buy a sandwich because that would be cheating- even the dollar menu at Taco Bell is cheating. You can’t use SNAP benefits at any restaurants, fast food or otherwise. I’m facing a long, hungry day and an even longer night getting dinner on the table, which requires making EVERYTHING from scratch on this budget. It’s only for a week, so I’ve got a decent attitude. If I were doing this with no end in sight, I probably wouldn’t be so pleasant.

Watch a local news report about Stanton’s challenge, via Huffington Post’s Bonnie Kavoussi:

According to Stanton’s Facebook page, the city he governs ranks 34th-worst among America’s 100 largest metro areas in terms of hunger, and one-in-four Arizona children are food insecure. Across the nation, there are more than 46 million people receiving SNAP benefits.

Despite the challenges presented by poverty and hunger, Republicans have proposed cuts to the programs that help struggling families afford food. The House GOP budget could kick millions out of SNAP and hundreds of thousands of children out of school lunch programs, exacerbating the high rates of food insecurity America’s families are already facing.
