My favorite episode arc from Knight Rider was when they suped up a big rig to destroy KITT. They named it Goliath.

KITT damn near died in their first encounter. Then they rebuilt KITT, but then KITT was scared to do anything dangerous after that.

Michael was confused af, he was like

"KITT.... are you... AFRAID?"

KITT was indeed afraid, and they had to find a way to regain KITT's confidence so that he could go after Goliath again, cause Goliath was up to bad stuff.

They succeeded. KITT got his confidence back and he destroyed Goliath in the rematch.
