How would be scary? Are you scared of the moon? It is not like moon just appear suddenly, the idea was if the planets were as close as the moon. It would be just as normal day or night for mankind.

There was a flick from about 10 years ago called Melancholia (sp?) about a rouge planet that had been bumped out of it's orbit somehow and was coming closer and closer to earth....decent/strange flick with some cool visuals...and um...gave me an appreciation of Kirsten Dunst's body.
