Farewell to Subway in the U.S. as the sandwich chain closes more than 600 locations

Doesn’t Subway have 20+ thousand locations?

According to the article in the past 10.years they've gone from over 27,000 stores to just under 20,000.....

I think after these closures the number is now around 18,500......

Corporate was starting to pull the same shit Quiznos did, make all those coupons with no reimbursement to the franchises

Despite the recent closures, Subway is still one of the biggest fast food chains in the country, ahead of Starbucks with 16,935 stores and McDonald’s with 13,559.

Crazy story - about 20 years ago, I was driving through some redneck backwoods town in AL and stopped at Subway. I could tell the kid inside was pissed that a customer was walking in by the way he looked at his friends as I approached. I go to place my order and see a roach crawling on the bread. This kid actually swiped the roach off the bread and attempted to make my sandwich w/ that same piece of bread.

Not a word...walked the fuck out and have never been back to Subway since.

I can't tell when was the last time I ate from Subway. I'm surprised they still have so many locations. Food is meh.
It's pure MF trash bro. Mfs want you to pay $12 for vegetables? The upcharge to get a decent sandwich is $3.00 fucking dollars? Put some fucking cold cuts on them shits mayne! :angry:The fuck? I'll make my own damn sandwich you bastards! Fuck Subway

That's the thing. Pricing themselves out over the years.

Especially compared to other places that give you more overall value for your dollar.

Sure...Subway maybe history but..we'll always have the memories.

I was coming in here to say something similar. I can't tell you the last time I've been to Subway and there's one on the corner of my street

Before I ever saw a Subway in NY, I knew of the chain from Toronto. I liked the meatball sub when I was a teen. By the time I saw Subway in NYC I was in college and there was one across the street from campus. However, Subway can't compete with NYC's wide range of delicatessens.

600, what’s that like one percent of Subway’s in the country. Them shits everywhere. I think I seen a Subway inside a McDonald’s.

Trashway!! I lost my respect for them.. some time ago! I been stopped eating them, plus on top of that once I tasted jersey mikes that was it!! Competition is everywhere and if your delivering trash.. well u know!!
