Sup fam,

So I'm in a standard yahoo league and I'm considering something. With the Eagles choosing to go with the rook at QB and Jordan Matthews coming off of injury, what do you all think of me dropping Matthews for Tarjae Sharpe? I know he's a rookie, but the kid had a GREAT training camp and preseason and he looks like he could be the real deal. I'm a bit weak at WR right now.

Here's what it looks like:

Demayrius Thomas (I actually hate him in real life)
Marvin Jones Jr.
Tyler Lockett
Jordan Matthews (not buying the stats from last season)

Help!

I think he's going to have a good year on a team without a true 1 since Megatron is gone. Plus, Stafford is presumably better than the rookie, though I don't always trust Stafford (mostly health). I believe Jones will be targeted a lot.
 
T.Sharpe is not really an option. Titans are a run oriented team with its 2 headed back sheme and. D. Walker is the primary for tgts and R. Matthews is the second. Phi passing will sux because of the rookie QB so J.Matthew stats will suffer. Get someone else and dont let preseaon fool u. (T. Pryor this week is my pick due poor PHI def and RG3s second coming)

Who do you have on your bench? Can you drop someone from your bench to get Tarjae Sharpe?

You could propose a trade with someone and swap J. M. for someone else of equal or greater value, but I would caution dropping J.M. for a rookie unless said rookie is undoubtedly a starter and projected to catch a lot of balls during the course of the season.

The season starts this week, so see what happens then go from there.
 
I would not drop a legit #1 WR on a team with a lower tier defense (has to play catch up most of the season) for a shaky #2 on run first team.

Having a rookie QB usually will help your receiver stats in fantasy because the rookie will look for Matthews more often as a safety net.

In his two year career he has hovered around 1000 yards 8 touchdowns. Probably goes for 1400 yard and 15 touchdowns this season. So I would keep Matthews as the rookie will look for him often

Rookie QBs favor TEs to combat against the blitz...look for a good day from Ertz if he gets a TD. Expect that blitz on those cracked ribs.(I got $100 moneyline for CLE on the upset.)
