Fam, quick question. How do y'all clear hyperpigmentation from shaving?

It seems like most of my folks have even skin and I got that dark spotted skin around my beard area. I know it's mostly from shaving so i've put the single blade down and i'm letting my hair grow until I can find a solution. It looks like I have a 5'O clock shadow but I can barely grow a beard.

Don't cut so close. The trick is to cut just close enough to not irritate the skin. I switched to the 5 star razor years ago and never looked back.

Also, moisturize. Moisturize, moisturize, moisturze. Put some aveeno or other lotion on your face after you shave and everyday if you can. Alcohol drys you skin out and makes it look uneven.

Step 1 grow a nice little closely cropped beard
Step 2 Profit!

Lol if u have to shave due to regs or something, be gentle... moisturize, moisturize then moisturize again for good measure. Use a light glycolic exfoliating solution once every 3, 4 or 5 days or so.... ask Ya girls. Make sure ur shaving with the grain aswell. But ideally, fuck all that shit and get Ya stubble or very close cropped beard on

I think I might be doing this. I'm not patient enough though

Use alcohol after you shave. It will burn at first , however after awhile you will get used to it.

but its pretty harsh and will make his condition worse...

Full disclosure. I hit my neck with alcohol about once a week and it does feel good to see what comes off. For some reason, the witch hazel doesn't feel too effective.

Man you will have to do some kind of chemical peel or something. After doing all my laser hair reduction stuff I started using fade cream on the area where i had hyperpigmentation. Shit works for months then it will start to darken again after I stop using cream so don't waste your money on that. I think @NER0 been having success with his peel.

I've had good results with PFB.. I prefer the gel roll-on though. A coworker turned me on to it.

I used to want facial hair, but now I'm glad I don't. I haven't shaved since I got out of the Navy in 2007 and now just have a goatee. I don't even have a Van Dyke, Just a goatee and a mustache

I'm good Cat, I use clippers. I want to use a straight razor so I don't have stubble after 2days. I rock the goat tee. I only use a razor when I goto the VA for my disability appts. Lol. Pseudo is 10% for a disable Vet, that's like another $140 or so a month.
