so after the fakers got swept out of the worstern conference playoffs, fakers fans and tobe stans circled the wagons and immediately began the spin.

according to fakers fans and tobe stans, the fakers losses weren't due to superior basketball play by the dallas mavericks, the fakers losses to the mavericks were blamed on a combination of:

a) ron artest's suspension
b) lamar odom participating in a reality based television show with his wife
c) a rumor regarding the status of pau gasol's romantic relationship

it should be pointed out that NONE of those miserable excuses put forth by fakers fans and tobe stans talk about ON COURT play for the series overall. of course not. fakers fans are incapable of discussing the SPORT.

it should also be noted, for what it's worth, that pau gasol and tobe have both denied the rumors, with pau gasol stating that they are lies. but hey, what else are fakers fans and tobe stans gonna do?

i suggest an alternative. how about discuss the TRUTH for a change?

you know, FACTS like:

1) tobe's playoff FG% was down this year compared to last
2) tobe's playoff 3FG% was down this year compared to last
3) tobe's playoff FT% was down this year compared to last
4 tobe's playoff rebounding down more than 43% this year compared to last
5) tobe's playoff assists were down 40%

Glad you bought the discussion here where it belongs. Even though I did not see ONE game. I think I can safely say that Dallas victory has less to do with Mr. Softee and more to do with the contributions in the paint of Tyson Chandler and Shawn Marion, plus the court acumen of Jason Kidd and of course the shooting of the Jet than as opposed to the charity stripe offensive attack of the big marshmellow. Funny how it's always "so and so team" when their is credit to be given for a victory, but when there is defeat, the excuses come out fast and furiously for that player and the attacks begin immediately against his teammates. As if these fops are fucking infallible. I think people are just star struck

i win again. one of the stans came in here and 1 starred the thread without bothering to reply.

weak sauce.

You are not trying to say that Kobe was the reason the Lakers lost? Couldn't be? He was Paragon of Performance during the playoffs...

i'm saying that fakers fans and tobe stans are quick to wrongly hurl blame at players not named tobe, and that often their criticisms are baseless and non-basketball related.

for example, lamar odom:

1) had CAREER high playoff FT% this post season
2) in spite of averaging FEWER minutes played over last season's playoffs, INCREASED his scoring by 24.7%
3) in spite of averaging FEWER minutes played over last season's playoffs, INCREASED his assists per game.

but you have jackass fakers fans questioning his focus.

compared to last season's playoffs, derek fisher:

1) INCREASED his 3FG%
2) averaged FEWER minutes, but averaged MORE rebounds
3) averaged FEWER minutes, but averaged MORE assists
4) averaged FEWER minutes, but averaged MORE steals

compared to last season's playoffs, andrew bynum:

1) INCREASED his FG%
2) had CAREER high post season FT%
3) INCREASED averages in scoring, rebounding and assists, but these INCREASES are explained in part due to an INCREASE in minutes played over last year's playoffs.

compared to last season, pau gasol:

1) averaged FEWER minutes played, but INCREASED steals per game in the playoffs
2) posted his HIGHEST FT% in the playoffs as a faker
3) INCREASED his assists per game compared to last season's playoffs

Man, I am sick to death of basketball discussions that hover around 1 man teams....as if 1 person could go out on the court and beat 5 people by himself.
Even if he scores 150 points by himself, he will not beat ANY team without 4 other teammates. That's a fact, yet it consistently escapes so many so called experts of the game.

i'd like to commend andrew bynum, lamar odom and pau gasol on having the dedication and integrity as professional athletes to go hard in practice every day and work on their game.

in doing so, all 3 of them posted their highest post season FT% as fakers.

I pointed it out in another thread about bad his 3 pointing shoot was....he took way too many in game one (9 attempts) and then only made like one of this next 11 attempts or something like...and barely went to the stripe because he was forcing long jumpers...none of those cats even commented on it.. but just said it is now time to trade bynum and gasol and force fisher to retire..

one even said the real problem was phil jackson...that is was obvious phil doesnt know how to deal with adversity...yes..that is what the claim was...smh
