Eric Bienemy to become OC/ Associate HC at UCLA.

I have been telling people that the minute I heard he was leaving Kansas City, and I questioned his "logic" in thinking a lateral move to Washington would increase his chances of becoming a Head coach.

His story reminds me of Sherm Lewis, who was the Offensive Coordinator for the Green Bay Packers.
Eric wanted to tie himself to a defensive-minded HC to prove that HE was actually calling the offense and not Reid.

This is not a question directed towards you, but if NFL General Managers applied that logic and assumed that Andy Reid was calling the Offense (as opposed to Eric Bieniemy)?

Why didn't that same train of thought apply to Matt Nagy, the Kansas City Chiefs Offensive Coordinator who preceeded Bieniemy.

Who managed to get a Head coaching job with the Chicago Bears from 2018 - 2021.

The NFL has royally shitted upon this man.
But sometimes you have to take a step back in order to move forward.
I hope that this turns out to be a great stepping stone for him (even though I'm a Trojan for life).

Folks fail using their own logic.

I said during the year, I think he thought since Ron was on the hot seat he would get fired and he would take over to show himself.

Ron was hired by the previous owner and administration and the Skins are now under new ownership.

I think that furthered it. I don't think Eric thought they would be loyal to Ron or care about his cancer battle because they weren't there for it.

Granted his age is working against him(68 or 69), but where's the caping for Jim Caldwell who is more than capable of bbeing an NFL OC or HC?
