I need context on the kid's mental history, something wasn't quite right with him. Intuitively the cop should have known something was off or wrong with the kid before resulting to force to subdue him.

That cop is a savage jackass. As well as an indictment of the low level of intelligence among far too many law enforcement officers. That young man was clearly in distress. He posed no threat and asked for 911 and a badge number. The pig escalated the situation when he had a chance to calm the kid down. Why the fuck didn't he tell the kid his badge number. Stupid savage pig should have called for paramedics to get him to a hospital. I fucking hate and distrust cops. I teach all my children cops are not their friends and to call me before they call police. I don't care if it's about dead hooker or vehicular homicide. Call me, not the cops.
