Economic Stimulus Tax Refund

It doesn't matter who gets it. It's a token gesture that won't be enough to trigger or sustain long term positive economic activity. "THEY" are trying to look like they actually give a fuck about you..but they don't.

Somebody at work told me, them checks should be called "Wal-Mart Flat Screen" checks. The majority of people out here will be going there to get them a cheap flat screen to hang on the wall.

All they doing is the classic example of "Robbing Peter to pay Paul".

Peace.

I mentioned refunds as a way of sharing wealth in another thread about 4 months ago before Bush even admitted the economy was slippin. We were talking about the possibilities of this economy, how Bush II used rebate checks to stimulate the economy and the only reason this pratice isn't the norm is because we the people don't demand it.

so......what if peter's from Australia and Paul is from China, on vacation?

The rebate check are government issued credit cards plus the interest that will accrue on the amount, you will end up paying for it with higher taxes or reduced services in the future, plus it could spark inflation.

The assumption is the econony is supposed to grow every year; however, nothing grows for infinity.
