....his QB duties will handled by ----formerly crowned QB-in-Waiting---Kevin Kolb. Kolb's accession was 'trumped' by the unexpected availiability of Michael Vick. So Kolb will be placed in the role of a life-time 'back-up'. Still, not bad pay for 'clip-board' rates.

When Eagle owner Lurie signed Vick to a 2-year contract-coinciding with the end of McNabb's contract (2010), it became evident where this scernario was headed. It had the blessing of all involved. Especially with McNabb getting a 'jump' in salary. Sort of like a win-win situation for all. McNabb wants BIG BUCKS and a LONG CONTRACT, as he's not getting any younger (it may be his last chance).

But make no mistake, Vick's star has risen, and 2010 will see an amicable divorce between the Eagles and McNabb. He'll enter 'free agency', and there will be plenty of offers.

I agree with you, but McNabb has a high threshold for 'pain'. I remember when he came back early after seriusly injuring his ankle. His efforts this season include 'showcasing' his talent in anticipation of hitting the free agent market. Especially now that Vick is a serious contender as his replacement. If he had to wait 'til wk-5, he'd be a headcase knowing that Vick played extensively in Week-3.

Plus, he also wants to keep the Eagles from bringing back the 'old man/professional back-up', Jeff Garcia. The same back-up who made Eagle fans ask, "McNabb who"?

Eagles re-sign QB, Jeff Garcia......25,537 yds., 161 TD's., 4X Pro-Bowl, and very familiar with the system. Kolb neds to get 'HOT' in a hurry.

Look for McNabb to try at make it back by week-3!

Been thinking. Now that Garcia has been added into the QB mix, the stew takes on a different taste. Garcia has always been a fan favorite (an understatement), making the fans 'forget'(2006) that McNabb was MIA. After failing to supplant Russell in Oakland, Garcia's back. If given another opportunity to start, he could become a serious playa. Its happen before!


One thing certain. The Eagles will not carry 4-QB's for the remainder of the season, and one is a 'proverbial overacheiver' with a 'proverbial chip on his shoulder'...NOT Kolb or Vick!!!
