I remember people saying and believing she slowed down and stalled Jay Electronica's, career. I always thought, that was half true.
That's kind of the problem in our community though. Too many of those women pick the worst partners. We have a lot of these women you described that have a good profession but will gravitate to a pookie or a nigga thats flashy & unstable. They get knocked up by these dudes & expect a square professional brother to clean up pookie's mess.
I got 2 friends right now that have their own crib and decent jobs but they're struggling to get a chick who's on their level. These chics (not all) don't want them because they're routine brothers who work, go home & stay out the mix. Women deem them as "boring" and I actually heard a chic say that about one of them.
Women in our community are concerned more about the optics of a relationship rather than the guts of the relationship. I'm not pro interracial dating but I understand stand why some of our brothers go where they'll be wanted.
