ST. LOUIS — The friend who was with Michael Brown on the day the unarmed African American teen was shot and killed by a white police officer has been arrested.

Dorian Johnson was arrested Wednesday afternoon, KSDK-TV reported. Police had been called to check on a group of people who were possibly armed with guns. Johnson was accused of approaching an officer to keep him from making an arrest, and police say he also threw suspected narcotics onto the ground.

Charges are expected to be filed Thursday, KSDK reported.







After Brown was shot and killed by Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson in August, Johnson claimed the 18-year-old victim was shot "like an animal." Brown's death triggered unrest in the St. Louis suburb for months and sparked a national movement seeking improved relations between police and blacks.


On Nov. 24, a St. Louis County Grand Jury decided not to bring any charges against Wilson and some records of Johnson's testimony were withheld from public release until a U.S. Department of Justice civil rights investigation could be completed.

In March, the Justice Department declined to bring criminal charges against Wilson, but released a scathing report on the Ferguson Police Department and city that led to resignations of the police chief and other officials.

Dorian Johnson, one of the witnesses to the shooting of Mike Brown, and his two brothers say they believe police are out to get them after they were all three arrested on Wednesday.

“Dorian has this target on his back,” his grandmother, Brenda Johnson, said. “So it makes it easy. If we can't get you, we will get your brothers. We will get your family. We will get anybody that's close to you.”

Dorian and his two brothers, Demonte and Otis, were arrested Wednesday after police say they resisted a lawful arrest. The brothers claim police mistreated them at the time of the arrest and are still mistreating them while they are in jail.

The incident began on Wednesday after police responded to the 57800 block of Acme after they say someone in a large group may have had a gun. “He [the officer] grabbed Otis by his wrist and just yanked him real hard off the sidewalk and threw him into the grass,” Demonte Johnson said. Demonte claims he instinctively grabbed the officer in order to protect his brother, Otis. “So as he was doing that, I grabbed the officer and Otis by the wrist. Then I thought ‘I can't touch the officer.'”

Family members say they are surprised at Demonte's behavior because he is a graduate of the Prestige Chaminade Preparatory Academy and is currently enrolled in college.

However, Brenda Johnson is not surprised and says she saw this coming. She believes police have been on the lookout for Dorian because he spoke out about what happened the day Mike Brown was shot. Dorian was arrested for resisting arrest, but he claims he was just trying to help his brothers.

"I have injuries on my body. I have injuries and scars from [when the officer] slammed my face down on the concrete," Dorian said. "[They] hit me on the cruiser, put me in the cruiser, raised up all the windows, and put it on high heat."

Otis was arrested at the scene on a Bridgeton warrant. News 4 reached out to speak with him, but was unable to get ahold of him because he was in school. Brenda says detectives have dropped the case against Otis.

Eleven years after the officer shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, sparked waves of protest against police brutality, the friend who was with Brown when it happened has been shot dead.

Dorian Johnson, 33, was the victim of a shooting at about 8:30 a.m. Sunday at a block of apartments less than a mile from where Brown died, according to Ferguson Police spokesperson Patricia Washington.

Johnson’s account of Brown’s 2014 killing helped inspire the iconic “hands up, don’t shoot” protest chant heard in demonstrations across the US that year, though subsequent investigations called into question the details of Brown’s actions before he died.

One person is being held in custody over Sunday’s fatal shooting of Johnson and “the investigation is still very active,” Washington said.

The police department emphasized that Johnson was not shot by an officer.

“There had been earlier rumors that this was an officer-involved shooting however that information is incorrect. No officers, Ferguson or otherwise, were involved in this incident other than to begin our investigation,”

That case was like Jonestown, Rwanda, and 911. It is just a matter of time before so called law abiding citizens realize that their obedience to satan means nothing when they make certain moves.
That store was not robbed by Mike Brown but it is strange how they can do something and have a compete cover story that is based on what ever they say. We thought that only worked on stuff like ufo's or pyramid stuff when it is proof of blacks higher technology instead of whites civilizing blacks and we grew from primitive to white like.
