Please remember in case you didn't know that African Americans only represent 13-16% of this countries total populations, and even when every African American or Black adult of voting age registers and votes, African Americans are only 6% of the total voting population! So please I would ask that this frustration is directed at the correct parties and groups! Don't any of you Blame this shit on Black People!

Blame those Latinos. The democrats are looking out for immigrants and some of there family members are being deported but they still decide to vote republican in Florida and Texas.

Tariq Nasheed is right, there is no black and brown coalition. When it comes to fighting immigrantion hold your own nuts.

Also don’t blame black people. What are the Democrats doing for black people? What agenda do they have? When I got on there website they only talk about women and LGBT community. Nothing for black people

2 main reasons why I vote every election....

1) our ancestors were beaten or killed fighting for the right to vote... So who the fuck am i to look at this melanated skin and turn my back on them?!

2) if voting didn't matter, why the fuck do Republicans fight so damn hard to make sure we don't or to rile up their base to make sure they vote against us...?

It fucking matters. It mattered 50 years ago, it sure as hell matters now!

We need to be more like the Asians or Arabs, They have very low turnout But are some of the richest immigrants. We need to stop voting for democrats until they have a agenda for Black People. Understand that when Obama was president the only people that got benefits were the LGBT community and Latino's with Dreamer Program. We got nothing, So why are you voting democrat again?

I feel you... But i laid out clearly why I vote...

2nd Latinos and Asians have off the books and not quite legal businesses and organizations that operate in plain sight... We can't simply just stop voting and then poof our communities get better... We need an infrastructure first....
 
Florida is white, Latino and Black.

Whites make up 77% of population.

A Black man got 49% of the total vote.

A Trump loving Latino won because he got the Majority of the white vote.


Gillium won every district with a large black and Latino population.

ST Pete, Tampa, Orlando, Miami, FT Lauderdale and Jacksonville.
 
This thread already turned into a fuck you non voting black folks that fast. We expect black folks to fix a country we didn't break. Not even considering the population size or the actual voting size of black people. We still would find a way to blame ourselves for the conditions of this country. If we had just squeezed two more votes racism white supremacy would have died over night. The sickness runs deep....

Every group bares some type of responsibility.

I guess it make us feel better as individuals if we can blame one group or one group more than the other.
 
It was good to see Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania go back to normal. The democratic strategy going forward needs to make sure these states stay in their back pocket. However a serious push needs to go to Georgia, North Carolina, Florida, and Texas. These 4 states is where the Dems need to spend money and put infrastructure in place. These states will be purple by 2028(if Amerikkka does not burn first)

Black democrats have been putting laws on the ballot or though sessions that are passing, such as amendment 4 in Florida, the Right to Know act in NY and the Suburban Police Shooting Reform Bill in Illinois.

yea...the whole 'blame black folks for not voting' is gettin' old...

first off...my whole damn family votes...and i always see black folks at the polls...

second....once again ...this is a smoke screen...for the real story...

these racists/white supremecists are suppressin' the vote....and in some cases...outright...STEALIN' the elections...

they were publicly spewin' all kind of racist comments...and they still managed to win by 1 to 3%....

Black people are in political purgatory right now. The only way for us to come out of it is to either create a new party or not vote Democrat. We can't vote Republican and voting for an alternative party is the equivalent of voting Republican (outside of a symbolic gesture).

Getting back to your original point, people that simply vote like it's 1975 are just as much of the problem. The game is different. If you are voting blindly for a candidate that isn't serving you just because they are the lesser of two evils, then you shouldn't complain, either. It never was JUST voting. Martin Luther King was of the greatest lobbyists ever. He gave an agenda for us to vote for and hold our elected officials accountable.

We should be getting these brothas and sistas that are apathetic to getting whored out by the Democratic Party galvanized to start our own. We have to create the same momentum that the Tea Party had with the right for our agendas. One that doesn't have our candidates stammer and backtrack when we ask them about reparations like Bernie and Hillary.

Democrats can't win without us but they know our vote is guaranteed without earning it. Something has to be done and it starts with us until none of us should be complaining because we have all of the rights and liberties our ancestors fought for.
