Donald Trump has spent half his Presidential campaign attacking and demonizing various minority groups, and the other half of his campaign hurling insults at President Obama. Now he and his campaign have found a way to do both in the same breath, with an attack on the President that is raising eyebrows. The racist language involved has managed to drag things to a new low – which at this point some thought was impossible.
Trump’s official campaign spokeswoman, Katrina Pierson, took to Twitter to refer to President Obama as being the “head Negro in charge” while lamenting that the United States needs a “pure breed” President instead. When she was later given a chance to walk those comments back, she instead doubled down on them and referred to Obama as a “half breed.” Again, this woman is the top spokesperson for the entire Donald Trump campaign, and not some errant staffer. It’s not the first time this week that Trump and company have gone off the racist rails.
Earlier this week Trump retweeted a neo Nazi account called “White Genocide” which also featured an image of Jewish candidate Bernie Sanders being sent to a gas chamber. And now we have Trump’s top rep throwing the racial slur kitchen sink at President Obama
