Used to love seeing those Dolby logos before the start of a film..specifically a scifi or action one

I saw it in Dolby cinema. I thought it was captivating and the sound was good however the movie isn't the best showcase for hdr content. A lot of dark color muted scenes. I also saw Moana in Dolby cinema. A much better showcase of hdr content.

The audio especially is stunning. But damn they turn that shit up too high at times.
My usual thing is to see a film in IMAX first at the AMC Lincoln Square 12. Then if I truly love the film, I'll see it again in Dolby Cinema at the AMC Empire 25 in Times Square. But it was reported that the Empire 25 has major bed bug issues again. So it'll be only The IMAX for me to see "BLADE RUNNER 2049"tomorrow.

im surprised people are just now talking about it on the board. Dolby Cinema is currently the best overall presentation in cinemas today as long as the movie is mastered in HDR well. IMAX has a competing format but it isnt as widespread yet. atmos makes the dolby format a tad better considering how its mixed. if anybody wanna know how the format works i can go into detail about it later.
Now the five rows in the theater on either side won't be the only problem with a movie next door...the middle will too !!
