ANY HELP THANKS ,,

MY FOOD BUDGET FOR THIS MONTH IS $ 150 :dance:

That's plenty, I just got back from Stop & Shop (in NYC also) and only spent about $20 on my groceries for the week.

The trick is go to the Koreans first for fruits and veggies, it's always cheaper then the supermarket. Stock up here.

Don't go to Pathmark, shit is just expensive :smh: Only if you're buying meat they have better quality then the other two. And make sure you have a Pathmark card for more discounts if you do.

The key to staying in budget and healthy, is stick to the outside or perimeter isles of the supermarket. Try not to fuck with the middle isles, that's where you'll find all the processed crap and uneccessary food items.

Some people can feed there family's with your budget, I hope you can cook.

I CANT COOK FOR SHIT , BUT I WORK @ WORLD TRADE CENTER AND THE COST OF FOOD IS KILLING MY POCKETS,, SO I NEED TO DO SOME STRONG FOOD SHOPPING,,

YEA I GOT ME ALL THEM STORE CARDS,, DISCOUNT CARDS,,

I NEED TO SIGN UP WITH BJ'S AND COSTCO :dance::dance:

BJ's and Costco is going to have you throwing shit out. It's too much food for you by yourself.

You're going to have to "burn till you learn" A family pack of chicken will keep you fed for at least three days. You are going to have to experiment with how much you eat versus how long you can stand leftovers to find the right balance.

Learn how to make simple dishes to start off. Spaghetti and tuna salad will always last you a couple of days. Start with that. Branch out into other easy things to make like fried chicken, pork chops, steak and stir fry. Don't buy the prepackaged stir fry meat, you can cut it up when you get home. Certain kinds of meats are fashionable. A couple of years ago, you could get a skirt steak really cheap, now that shit is mad expensive.

You work by the World Trade, you must be shopping by that ultra expensive Whole Foods over there :smh:

BJs and Costco will not do it, especially if you are single -- it is just too much volume. It may be good for some dry, long-storage goods, but then again, who has the space for 10 tons of cereal or a case of canned vegetables?

For coupons, just type in "supermarket coupons" in Google and you'll get a ton of sites with printable coupons - but being in NY (and especially in some 'hoods) you may have an issue explaining to the store to accept the coupon. Also check out the website for the supermarket itself.

In terms of meat, I find that Waldbaums has the best sales, often they have 50% off (buy 1 get 1 free) if you have the store card. The meat is family sized packages, but get some freezer bags and split the meat into small portions that you would have for a meal and freeze.

Just experiment with cooking, check out recipes online, and invest in a Crock-Pot (food practically cooks itself over the course of the day) and a George Foreman type grill (if you're really afraid of the stove). However, get you cooking skills up (it doesn't take much), nothing turns on a woman more than a man who can cook a meal
