I have been researching 6 Sigma and am looking for any feedback on the subject. I saw that the average salary for a 6 sigma is $100,592. Does anyone have a 6 Sigma here? If so, how is the money? How long is the delay from getting the cert and getting a good job?

I do have my Blackbelt. The money for Six Sigma certified people is going down because so many people are getting certified. get LEAN Silver or Gold certification you will still make 6 figures

I got my Greenbelt which is the entry level. I didn't need it, but I took it to start racking up on some certifications. There are different levels like the the 1st reply was talking about. The blackbelt is next and then a the master black belt. I believe you are supposed to work your way up the belts.

The Master Black Belt probably will probably still get you 100k.

I don't know much about lean, but I'm starting to hear about it more frequently.

I asked about this a few weeks ago. My job has some Black Belt jobs I think. I would like to get certified in it. Because my company will pay for it. What does the work include?

How difficult is it to get certified?

I appreciate your feedback. I'm going to look into it more. I haven't heard about the lean Silver and Gold yet. Those are before the black right?

I sat for the ASQ thanks to the fam for posting the help exam and it was one of the best moves of my working life.

With experience, no degree, and a black belt you could easily make 85K/yr.

Right now I am sitting on a BSME, MSIE, MSSE, and CSSBB. The black belt and my experience is carring more weight then my three engineering degrees!

Whoever, said that Lean is equal or better then six sigma doesn't have a clue. Lean is a good common sense approach to problem solving but it is not the scientific method on steroids like 6 sigma. In other words, 6 Sigma is more Quantitative and Lean Methodologies are more Qualitative.

Thank you Fam. This is interesting and it makes a lot of sense too, because it seems like the employers are looking for 6 Sigma Green/Black Belts more than Lean. Just my observation.

Also, $85k is good money too. You are a value to the company and not easily replacable, so you have security in your position. It's a good move. Smart.

Just ran into someone who told me about this and I remberes some post on it. Is this certification still worth it and can it still be used in manufacturing or other environments? I know it's a lot of statistics involved.
