Do You See A Difference With Black People With Any Sort of Power?

I raised this question because I have posted how blacks should create and hire there own. But there are problems: self hate, ego, and black oppression.

I have experience with a lot with whites and with black people. We all know about whites but now we must speak on blacks. From my experience many blacks in power like the black police don't do enough to help regular blacks.

I have been at job interviews where blacks where doing the hiring and the blacks hiring where very critical and arrogant of me. I felt Deja Vu with blacks in white faces. It's fucked up that most of my jobs were given to me by whites.

I've had a black manager say that he'll call po po on me just because I ate cookies on plate that was meant for customers, but I didn't know. I had a black cop tell me he was gonna lock me up because I was late leaving an institution.

Blacks have also kept me from getting housing and when I put in some applications blacks never considered me but other groups.

Now don't get me wrong, there have been some blacks who have helped me and other brothers get ahead but unfortunately the bad outweighs the good. There were way more bad blacks in power than good!!!!

So if we're ever going to govern each other without white folks help we need to consider these issues. Otherwise we may be going through the same shit!!! Some niggaz do gotta go!!!

Black people in power positions either associate with other black people in power positions or they associate with white people in power positions. This can sometimes cause a disassociation with the "common" man. There are some exceptions, but they are rare. Look at successful athletes. Many of them that still hang with their homeboys from the "hood" find themselves having problems. Sometimes it is necessary to change the company that you keep, but it should be never be at the expense of the betterment of your people. Also, self-hate is a big problem for too many of us. People (regardless of their race) get pleasure from feeling like they are better than others. This country was built on the principle of keeping certain members of society in their "place."

LOL. I will answer the question seriously anyway. What I have found is that black people with tiny new amounts of bullshit "power" are the ones that trip. Examples:

the security guard or bag check person at duane reade or cvs or whatever BELLOWING at you about you can't drink a soda in the store or whatever

the western union girl asking you for every last little piece of id and double and triple checking you and looking at you like shes a damn cop and you in the interrogation room.

Now the flip side is from my experience, black people with REAL power are cool. Very cool.
