Is it bad parenting and single mother homes or the fact we don't have "safe" spaces that automatically correct teenage behavior such as twerking on cars?




Brandon Johnson, a progressive Democrat and former teachers union organizer who was elected mayor earlier this month, released a statement Sunday reacting to the disorder in his city that resulted in a shooting and more than a dozen arrests.

“In no way do I condone the destructive activity we saw in the Loop and lakefront this weekend. It is unacceptable and has no place in our city,” Johnson stated. “However, it is not constructive to demonize youth who have otherwise been starved of opportunities in their own communities.”

He continued: “Our city must work together to create spaces for youth to gather safely and responsibly, under adult guidance and supervision, to ensure that every part of our city remains welcome for both residents and visitors.”

Man fuck all that, yeah a lot of those kids come from the hood but I know a bunch of kids who've come from the hood who didn't do dumbshit like that. Nor do a bunch who still live in the hood.

These kids these days don't have real parents at home, nor do they fear the law or consequences of their actions. Kids here in DC commit car jackings, assaults & other crimes and are right back on the streets hours after their arrest. And when someone has finally had enough or protects themselves/property by hurting or killing one of them then their parents, family & friends are bitching and complaining
