What he's trying to say is "I'll take less if...they gonna pay to get a superstar, so that they don't have to trade any significant players to make CAP ROOM"
They may have good shot at getting Bosh. I think Bosh is from Texas - Houston or something.
I can't imagine Lebron, Wade, or Amare going there and those 3 would not fit into the offense as much as Bosh can.

You know who I think they should get... Ron Artest - they need some defense, maybe they should consider getting him or Ben Wallace. Maybe they can steal Trevor Ariza in a trade or something with the Lakers.
I've been saying this for years, dallas will never win a championship with Dirk as the 1st Option. he finally realised it and age is catch up with him so he no Option, They lost alot of Good players just to accomodate him.
Bosh is from Dallas...he went to Lincoln High in South Dallas...they won a state and national title in 02...they went like 40-0...he may be the one top free agent we have a shot at.

Exactly dirk and howard are very good complimentary players, but the mavs need a lead dog.
Bosh and Dirk seem like the same player to me....seven-foot outside shooters,which won't help.
Dallas needs a tough,rebounding,inside-minded guy who who will allow Dirk to be what he is...a seven foot small forward.
A Bosh/Dirk combo would be just like a Lewis/Turkulu combo...which is why the Magic won't win much.

I'm using Amare as an example. Doesn't have to be him, it can be any real big man. And he points don't mean shit since they're weren't bringing too many victories.
While Howard was out, that man wasn't doing shit. Forced to do the things a big man is supposed to do, he was getting exploited night in and night out. Josh Howard was never known as a big time scorer (when he came up his rep was as a pretty good DEFENDER) but he actually does more of the things big men are supposed to do to be successful. Moreso than that man has ever done. While Howard was out Dirk wasn't even scoring points and if he isn't doing that, he has proven to be completely useless.
But as usual, the blame gets shifted all over the place.
