An Alabama woman who appeared for a bond hearing in court found out that her son was killed in the crash that she allegedly caused.

Delyshia Molette, 34, was in court on Wednesday to answer for a manslaughter charge in connection with a car crash that took place on Monday. According to courtroom reporting by local CBS affiliate WKRG, Mobile police testified that Molette was allegedly hitting speeds of 90 mph in her vehicle before she crashed into a light pole. In the car with her were her two sons, ages 7 and 11 years old. Neither boy was wearing a seat belt, and the 7-year-old was killed.

Molette found out her younger son was dead while in court.

Upon hearing the devastating news, Molette reportedly shouted, "Did you say he died? My 7-year-old died?"

Molette's 11-year-old son was taken to the hospital in critical condition with brain bleeding. Police said that Molette was fleeing Semmes police following an alleged assault on an officer at a Publix store on the day of the crash. According to the Semmes Police Department, Molette was caught on store surveillance camera allegedly shoplifting and was approached by an officer.

Police said that Molette allegedly attacked the officer by trying to gouge out his eyes and biting his finger until he lost feeling in it. Molette then fled the store on foot. She was later spotted by Semmes police in her car, and a pursuit followed. Al.com obtained court documents that said police stopped chasing her after noticing her children in the car.

According to WKRG's reporting on the court hearing, Molette said that she fled police because she did not want her children to be taken by the state's Department of Human Resources.

Molette was taken into custody following the crash and charged with several felonies in connection with the alleged incident at Publix as well as the crash, including manslaughter, resisting arrest, attempting to elude, robbery, and assault. She was denied bond during Wednesday's hearing and remains in custody at the Mobile County Jail.

Sad but I'm more....the fact that no one innocent that wasn't apart of her wrong doing was killed and I'm sorry it was her own child and children that was hurt but that's something she's going to have to live with,a heavy burden to carry.

I culd be wrong, but something about this story screams "fake" to me. Plus, it comes from a site called "AI.com"...

:puzzled:
Don't know where you got that from, but I got it from MSN, and they got it from Law & Crime. And I'm sure that they would've vetted this and looked into a site that you're claiming it came from. No where did I see the link that you're claiming. THIS is the link that MSN posted at the end of this article... maybe your computer is infected by Skrull AI CptMARVEL

Ummm...
It says so right in the "article" itself.

"Police said that Molette allegedly attacked the officer by trying to gouge out his eyes and biting his finger until he lost feeling in it. Molette then fled the store on foot. She was later spotted by Semmes police in her car, and a pursuit followed. Al.com obtained court documents that said police stopped chasing her after noticing her children in the car."

Even this paragraph comes across as suspect.
And did you notice it doesn't provide the names of anyone involved other than the Black woman...?
- No judge.
- No officers.
- No hospital mentioned.
- No eyewitnesses to the event.
- No condition of officer she "attacked".
- Hell, the article itself is really BADLY written.
- Even the picture of the woman looks... generated.

Look...
All I'm saying is, this whole thing looks very suspicious. And there's been a lot of AI generated BS produced online designed to make Black people, and Black women in particular look terrible. This just feels like one of them. These folks hate Black people and are preying on your hatred and ignorance to continue to malign Black women. So, just be aware that you're probably being played...:dunno:

It's also an Alabama website not an Ai website lol

If you're really worries then you can just FOIA request the documents.
It's not that serious lol

When @CptMARVEL first said it was in there I didn't see it because of it being in dark print with the dark background on my laptop (bright ass screen makes my eyes burn after awhile) but I was like no fucking way that MSN wouldn't have vetted the story before printing it!
